JARREN

Umiigting ang pangang nakatingin lang ako kina Ely and that bastard Von. Masama ang tinging ibinibigay ko kay Von habang isinasayaw niya si Ely.

Anong trip nila? Ang pagselosin kami ni Mara? Anong dahilan? Kasi late kami dumating?

"Von was not like that. He's an introvert person and a man of few words. Pero bakit kung makipagkwentuhan siya sa Kelsey na yan eh parang ang close nila." Rinig kong bulong ni Mara.

"Won't you go and get your fiancee in the dance floor? He's dancing with my date." Busangot kong sabi kay Mara.

Salubong lang ang kilay nitong nakatingin sa dalawa. "Don't talk to me, Salvatero. Baka mabato kita ng wine glass jan." She replied grumpily. Inis itong tumingin sakin. "Ain't your date was the one who stole my fiancee first?"

"What? Stole? The nerve." Di makapaniwalang sagot ko. "Your fiancee offered the dance first. Clearly stoling my date tonight." I fired back.

I can feel the tension building between us. We both stare at each other, both giving death glares until we both sigh and just come back on watching the two.

"I hate her." She said looking at them.

Napakuyom naman ang kamao ko nang makitang mas lalong dumikit si Von kay Ely. "Now I hate your fiancee. Would you mind if I grab his collar and give him a straight punch?"

"Subukan mo. Malilintikan ka sakin." She replied. "Sana pala hinila ko na yang buhok ng Kelsey na yan kanina. ——Look at them, they are too close. May patawa-tawa pa." Inis nitong dugtong.

"Why are you blaming my date? It's clearly your fiancee was the one who's flirting with my Ely baby." Kontra ko sa kanya.

"Ely baby mo mukha mo. Tara! Isayaw mo ako. Let's separate them." She said desperately and stand. "Move now, Salvatero."

I just clenched my jaw and stood up. "That jerk." I mumbled while dancing with Mara. Mas lalong sumama ang timpla ng mukha ko nang makita silang parehas na masaya na nag-uusap.

Fuck it! I can't do this anymore! I'm claiming what's mine.

"Your time is up, Perial. I believe we should exchange partner now." Striktong wika ko.

"Seloso ang loko." Von spoke laughing before he let go of Ely's hand.

"Sanitize your hands. Masyado ka kasing dumidikit sa germs." Nakanguso kong sambit bago lagyan ng hand sanitizer ang kamay ni Ely.

Napatawa siya sa ginagawa ko at nakangising pinagmasdan ako. "You look adorable, love."

I stilled the moment he mentioned those words. Ang kaninang inis na nararamdaman ko ay nawala. It's like I was floating with the clouds at the sky. The feeling was so good that I want it to last forever.

She called me love...

She called me love!

I pulled her towards mine and buried my face in her shoulder. I should hide this red cheeks.

What an embarrassment.

She stroked my hair while dancing in a romantic melody. "My heartbeat was fast, Ridge. Is it some kind of side effects on the medicine your giving me or it's just... me who was starting to have feelings for you." She whispered. "I'm confused."

I remained silent. Letting her talk more about what she feels. Still absorbing what she shares and confirming that I wasn't dreaming at all.

"You're special. You owns a special space in my heart and I want you to know that I'm starting to like you. Not as my doctor but as Ridge that was my suitor." She added that made me smile wide.
