KELSEY
The smell of pancakes greeted me as I woke up.
I smiled and headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth and do my morning routine. When I look into the mirror, I touched my neck as there was a red spot plastered in it. I tried to erase it but it won't come off. "Oh come on!" Inis kong bulong at pinabayaan nalang ito.
When I go to the kitchen, the smell of freshly cooked pancakes greeted me. I saw Ridge with his white T-shirt and gray cotton shorts with an apron while cooking.
I watched him cook as he flipped the pan as he was making a fried rice. "Good morning, love."
How did he even know that I'm here?
"Malapit na itong matapos kaya umupo kana jan." He added and I just smile obeying what he said.
"Good morning, chef."
I heard him chuckle before turning his gaze to me. "How's your sleep?" He started a conversation after kissing my head, sitting in front of me.
"Surprisingly good." I replied looking at the foods in the table. "Why does we always have fruits in the table?" I asked. "And my pineapple juice is missing again." I added pouting.
"Drinking too much pineapple juice may lead to some complications." Nakangiwi nitong sagot. Nilagyan niya ng pagkain ang plato ko. "Fruits are good in daily living and besides, as what they say, an apple a day keeps the doctors away."
"What would I do to the apple if my doctor was giving me everything that I wanted. Besides, I don't want you to be away from me. So anti-apple ako for today and the next next next next days." I replied eating.
He laughed. "Silly, just eat your food. Meron ka pang press conference today."
"Oww I forgot about that. By the way, how was your sleep?"
"The best sleep in my life." He answered plastering a big smile but later on he pouted. "But my head hurts. This might be a hangover."
I laughed. "You drink too much last night. You deserve that."
Mas lalo lang itong ngumuso. "You're so harsh on me."
"Just eat, Ridge. Then after this you'll take meds para ma bawas-bawasan yang sakit ng ulo mo."
His pouting lips turned into a lively smile. He happily ate the pancake from my fork. "You're extra sweet today, love."
I laughed and pinched his cheeks. "Tigilan mo ako, Salvatero."
Ngumisi lang ito at kumain na rin. We ate together happily. We exchanged conversations and laughs.
Everything right now feels really different. I felt genuinely happy because I'm with him.
"That red mark suits your neck." He complimented while grinning pertaining to the hickey he left last night.
I just rolled my eyes and continue putting make up on my face while he was just sitting in the bed wondering his eyes around. "You have a work today?" I asked.
"Yeah, but don't worry, susunduin kita mamaya after your press conference."
"Franzel was there too kaya pwede namang hindi mo na ako sunduin. You'll just tire yourself up."
From the reflection of the mirror, I saw him shaking his head. "I insist."
