(3rd Person POV)
He could hear the sounds of fighting, somewhere off to the side. Someone screamed.
Jaune: Penny! J-Just Hold on!
Jaune opened his eyes. He was falling, surrounded by floating red balls that looked almost like suns. The area around was darkness, lit only by the mini suns. Jaune panicked, swaying his arms around.
In the distance, he could see Crescent Rose falling. Jaune pulled in his arms, and propelled himself towards the weapon.
Jaune pulled himself forward on the beach, Crocea Mors left behind him. He ran out of stamina, collapsing onto the sand, taking several deep breaths, before coughing.
Jaune: Where... am I?
Jaune looked up to see the beach suddenly end with a jungle of some sort, twisting branches, with large leaves.
Jaune slashed at leaves and branches, as he made his way through. He leaned on Crocea Mors besides a rock, looking up to see a little pocket watch on a tree, ticking away.
Jaune walked towards the ticking watch and inspected it, pulling it off where it was held in place. The pocket watch suddenly stopped and turned counter-clockwise as the sun suddenly disappeared.
Jaune: Hey... No, uh... Wait... Wait, wait! Stop it! Please stop!
As time in the Ever After continued to reverse backwards, Jaune struggled to stop the fruit-like stopwatch as he shook it before throwing it to the ground, and destroying it with the sheath of Crocea Mors.
Jaune panted and looked around before looking down at the pocket watch, now broken with a pair of crooked hands and glass cracked.
Jaune sat on a rock overlooking the ocean, as the sun went down with a flash and he brought his hands to his face.
Jaune: I thought I'd never see you again...
Time seems to have continued as Jaune's armor rusted and he was much older.
Jaune: But I knew if I waited long enough, then you would fall...
Jaune stood up and brought his hand up to the sky as he saw what could only be described as two falling stars.
Jaune: Just like I did. It... It's really you, right? When I saw you in the market...
Jaune hesitantly paused and looked down. Team RWBY looked at each other before looking at Jaune.
Ruby: Jaune. It's us.
Team RWBY warmly hugged Jaune, along with Little, who appeared on top of Jaune's head, as the older man smiled with tears of joy.
Ruby: How did you find us?
Blake: How are you the Rusted Knight?
Yang: And when did you get so...
Weiss: Mature?
Ruby, Blake, and Yang all stared at Weiss; Ruby raised her brow while Blake and Yang smiled wryly at Weiss.
Weiss: Uh...
Weiss blushed and collected herself.
Ruby: What happened in Atlas... after the rest of us fell?
Jaune sighed.
Jaune: I, uh... Guess we've all got a lot of catching to do...
Later, Team RWBY, Jaune and Juniper had already left the Gardens Arce and arrived in a flower field.
Ruby: She's... got two Relics now?
Yang: And with Cinder, the ability to get another.
Blake: She doesn't know where the Beacon Relic is!
