(Your POV)
Edel: You all right then?
Edel stood above you, holding out his hand. He smiled, seeming to not understand the gravity of the situation.
(Y/N): What?
Edel: I asked if you are alright. You took a pretty hard hit for Weiss...
He seemed to think for a moment, looking up, before returning his eyes to you.
Edel: I guess I could have done a better part of taking in that energy. Sorry about that one.
He tried to make everything alright again, before sighing, and pulling you up. You stumbled a bit, but he placed his hand on your shoulder, and you suddenly couldn't fall over.
He left his hand there for a moment, before he let go, walking towards the rest of Team RWBY.
(Y/N): Why?
Edel turned around, tilting his head.
Edel: Hmm?
(Y/N): Why did you do everything?
Edel: Oh... I guess I should explain, huh? Yeah...
He turned away, again heading towards Team RWBY.
He stood by each one, placing his hand on their shoulder for a few moments, before they stood up, still shaken, but not falling over.
Blake: Where's Roman?
Edel: I'm sure he's around here somewhere. He was on the train as well.
Blake: Where's...
She trailed off, looking down. Edel closed his eyes for a moment, before looking back at her.
Edel: No idea, he's nowhere that I can find.
Blake hollowly nodded, turning back to her team.
Edel moved on, walking away from the team, as Yang stumbled towards him, trying to hit him. When she did, he just moved out of the way, dashing towards her, and tapping her chest, when the suit disappeared on Yang, and was replaced by a device in Edel's hand.
He looked down at it before squeezing his hand, the device burning before he looked back at Yang.
Edel: Could you not?
Yang: You're evil.
Edel: I mean... kind of true. I'm making an effort to not be, but I gotta do it slow.
Yang: Liar.
Ruby: Why?
You were surprised, but not really at the same time. While your first thought was that Ruby would side with Yang, you remembered how trusting Ruby seemed of him.
Edel: Well, there's a really not nice lady. She's like Ozpin, but for bad guys. And so, I was...
He trailed off, and you saw a tear run down his face, as he seemed to be thinking back to a different time.
Edel: We lost... Pretty badly. I made a deal to try and save someone.
Weiss: What was it?
Edel: I wanted to protect someone.
You and Weiss looked confused, while the rest didn't answer.
(Y/N): Who is this someone?
Edel shook his head, looking back up at you.
