Jake was alone in the dance room, having nothing else to do for the day, he chose to dance to whatever he could find. Each minute felt like an hour as Jake boringly swiped through Enhypen's discography. "Ugh, I'm so bored!" Jake wined as he tried to figure out something to do. He decided to dance to "Go Big or Go Home" for the first time in nearly a year. As he got into position, he awaited the music to begin.

Jake quickly followed the music, desperately trying to remember the choreography to stay on tempo with the upbeat song. As Jake danced, he tried his hardest to keep up. As the chorus came Jake struggled to keep his memory intact as he danced. Once the chorus finished, he kept going and was soon met again with the second chorus. As Jake moved forward to begin the chorus, his shoe got caught and sent him flying to the floor. "Ah, shit!" Jake yelled as he was soon met with a loud *THUD* which was accompanied by a *CRACK*.

Jake held his mouth with his hand, trying his hardest not to scream in pain, he felt a throbbing pain just below his throat as he rolled onto his back and squeezed his eyes shut. He let out a pained groan as he tried to contain his tears. Jake felt hot tears prickle out of his eyes, giving in, and beginning to sob. He stayed there for nearly ten minutes, trying to take in what had happened. Eventually, Jake sat up, yelping in pain, "Shit ow..." he muttered as he stared into the big mirrors. His collarbone had a few dark bruises littered across it, and a slightly deformed area on the bone. "Oh god..." Jake said, his eyes widening.

Jake slowly stood up, trying to ignore the pain. He walked his way back to Enhypen's dorm, praying that the pain would ease up. He quietly walked into the dorm, the rest of the members quickly turned their heads to see Jake walking in quietly, his collarbone prominent. "Hey Jake, you ok? You look tired, and is that a hickey or a bruise?!" Heeseung said, blabbering his first thoughts without filtering his words. Jake blushed and gave him a disgusted look, "No! I just accidentally hit it while I was dancing!" Jake defended himself.

Jake made his way to his room, after reassuring the members nearly 100 times. He sat on his bed slowly, trying to stay quiet from the pain. He winced as the pain began to sting, beginning to feel the pain spread throughout his torso. He reached for his nightstand and searched through it, soon finding a few painkillers. "Damn, how bad is this?" he mumbled to himself before taking a few. Not long after, he fell asleep, staying that way for a much longer time than anticipated.

The next morning, Jake had a pounding headache, accompanied by pain in his collarbone. He slowly sat up, covering his mouth to prevent any pained noises from coming out. He looked around the room, and a warm orange color dusted the room. Jake looked to his left and noticed Heeseung still sleeping, "What time is it?" he thought to himself as he grabbed his phone from the nightstand. "Damn, 6:45?" He thought, slightly puzzled. He sighed and sat his phone back down, feeling tired, but with no desire to go back to sleep. He slowly stood up and out of his bed, soon to start the long day ahead of him.

Jake spared little time before he had showered, changed, and was now enjoying breakfast at the kitchen island. He winced as he felt the food go down his throat, his collarbone throbbing in the process. Eventually, Jake felt bored and longed for some human contact, despite the pain. It wasn't long until his wish was granted and Jay woke up, walking into the kitchen. Jay's eyes widened slightly as he saw Jake, "You're up early," Jay said sluggishly as he walked to the refrigerator. "Yeah, just kind of woke up early," Jake said, fidgeting with his fingers. They shared small talk until the rest of the group was up and soon to go to practice.

The seven found themselves dancing, as they usually would at 11 AM. Jake bit his lower lip as he tried to silence his pain. Jake began to notice the concerned look from his members from time to time, seeing their worry, Jake tried his best to make himself appear fine, which was a challenge in itself. "Jake Hyung, are you ok?" Jungwon asked, looking at him in the eyes. "I'm fine, promise," Jake said as a wave of guilt washed over him, "I can't believe I just lied to our leader," Jake thought, trying to show no signs of pain. Jungwon looked displeased and mumbled a quiet "If you say so" and continued practice.

Jake did all he could for the rest of practice, doing what he could to the best ability. As the seven made their way to the vocal room, Jake was almost at the point of limping, the pain felt like semi trucks constantly being rammed into his chest. Before they went in, Heeseung stopped the younger, just the two of them outside the vocal room. The door shut as 5 of Enhypen entered, Heeseung's doe eyes met Jake's, "Jake, are you sure you're ok? We're all worried about you, and you're collarbone looks swollen, and hell almost purple, did you get hurt?" Heeseung said, sincerity and concern lacing his voice. Jake's eyes became glossy as he turned his gaze away, he felt waves of emotion crash into him as a few tears slipped. Jake silently nodded as the tears began flowing.

Heeseung engulfed him in a gentle hug, being cautious of his collarbone. Jake cried as his emotions and physical pain began to overwhelm him as he stayed in Heeseung's embrace. After a few minutes, Heeseung and Jake left for the hospital with their manager, Heeseung filling in the member's on the situation via text. When the doctor finally saw them, they diagnosed the Australian with a fractured collarbone. Jake, despite his devastation, was made to not dance for the following time. His members helped him back to health, and he didn't escape a scolding for hiding it.

LORD I DIED FOR A WHILE. I'm so sorry ya'll! For me, symphonic band just started, which the entire second semester has and I think I needed a break from writing to get my mental existance back in check. As of finishing this, I just finished crying about how much I miss 2022 and my rookie year in marching band. I really miss it, I do plan on trying to complete as many as possible and then when I'm fully caught up on requests, I will reopen them, promise I'm working as well as I can! Taking the break from writing has definetly helped, I won't lie I stopped reading fanfiction for a while cause I didn't want to deal with the notifications on my phone and I knew I would have another request, so like an idiot I just stopped using it, but I'm back and better than ever! I'm very excited and working on the requests! I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a great day/night! (Also this book will be a year old in May :) )
