Narrator POV:
Now Catra became genuinely worried. Eighter Adora wanted to sleep with her without any intention of initiating anything, just for the thrill of it like many others had or she had no idea what she wanted and was walking into a dangerous direction "...are you really saying you want your fist time to happen because you used my Ego to do you? Are you that desperate?"
"Wha...what do you mean?"
Catra pulled her Chair in front of the blonde and sat down, facing her "..what do you want, Adora?"
"I...I want.." that thought got stuck in her head "No...noone has ever asked me that...". Adora was always planning ahead, trying to figure People out and anticipating their next move or thought. For most of her life, that was all she needed, helping her to read People and anticipating most, if not all of their choices or reactions...but right now, her own mindset caused her to be completely lost. Part of the reason she liked being around Catra was that she had no idea how she'd react next, being able to read some of the more obvious signs but not her as a whole and that spontaneity was the most fun she ever knew being around someone "I ...don't know" she admitted, looking at the ground "Maybe...i'm scared?" "i'm just fucking sick of being alone" she thought
"Bout what?"
"That you gonna leave me, once you no longer need me"
"So you try to get in my pants for that"
"NO!...I ...no I don't think so....maybe? I think you're pretty and..... cute in the weirdest way and I really like being around you...is that so bad?"
Now it was Catras turn to smirk "Ohh so you are into me, aren't you?" using the exact sentence that set her off just yesterday
All the tension suddenly left Adoras body and she fell backwards on the Bed "Maybe? Fuck, I don't know, Catra...I never met anyone like you so how would I know? You once told me that you hated how I got into your head, remember?" Catra nodded, remembering the short drive back from Huntaras Party "The same goes for the other way around. I hate how I can't see your next move, can't figure out how you think but that's also the reason you are so damn intriguing to me...I belive you like me more than you admit but...fuck, maybe im wrong for once or now that I said that, your pride isn't going to allow yourself to even contemplate admiting to it"
A few short, silent seconds pass until Catra closed her eyes and let out a breath "I..I don't hate you. I know that's not the same as "like" but it's ...not easy for me to even admit that much"
"Thats..nice I guess. I don't get why I have so much trouble with you. Usually, I can define what someone is and how useful they could be in a few minutes after meeting them but you... I have no idea what you are or what i want you to be"
Catra sighed and stood up, scratching her Head "Okay, I'm done playing therapist. Girl, you have issues but...for now, we are friends and I don't plan on just ghosting you when i'm no longer in danger of being thrown out of School"
"Promise?" Adora asked, her face suddenly full of hope, looking up at Catra
"Cute..." was her initial thought before she stopped herself "Y-yeah...promise, dummy...wanna grab a bite?"
"Sure..and thanks"
"That's what...Friends are for" Catra answered, hiding her red Face "What the hell did I get myself into when I met you?"

Timeskip 1 Week
Things calmed down a bit over the next week. Adora and Catra had only 1 more meeting to study and both refrained from antagonizing the other in order to keep the peace, both afraid what would happen if their relationship started to be questioned by the other. Catras english test was a success, being returned back as a B- and final proof that the Cat hybrid was indeed more behind rather than stupid
