Narrator POV:

The next few Days were spent with study sessions in order to get Catra up to date for Biology. That test went well but ended with only a B- barely scraping by. With the midterms starting the following week, both of them took to the books with Adora becoming slightly worried about their deal. In the beginning, the Midterms were the end point of their Game...but was that still the Case?

Adora visited Melina and practically forced her to take the Money, while the dog hybrid was just glad that she was fine. She had heard that the House had burned down and was half afraid that something had happened but had also half expected that she was the cause for the fire "You can't tell me not to worry, Hon...that's the only thing I will always do"

"I..I'm sorry. In the end I told you that your job was save but then erased the reason they had you employed to begin with"

"I'm just glad you're okay, Adora" Melina smiled warmly "I'll be fine but..call me once in a while, okay?"

"Are you kidding? Of course I will. Once you are released and things calmed down, I'll tell you the whole Story from beginning to end...I promise"

"Thank you, Hon. I hope you can enjoy your freedom with her"

"With....I don't know what you're talking about" As always, the hybrid saw right through Adora like through thin backing paper

"Yes you do...even if you don't want to admit it yet"

A little later, Tina came to visit her mom and told Adora that Melina would be released tomorrow. Adora got a big Hug from both and a promise to see each other again soon

The young Girl considered telling Melina about what she found in the Bank locker but had little idea how to even broach the subject. Something inside her made it a non priority, as if her own Brain tried to protect her by pushing the new information deep into her subconscious, hoping she could just forget about it...

---

The Invitation to the "maybe Date" Tomorrow, had her on edge already but the recent change of Catras treatment of her, had her just as hopeful as nervous...but hopeful for what?

"Do I wanna date her? It would explain a lot about how I feel when she's with me....I never met someone I didn't see in terms of pro and contra. I can be myself around her...whoever that is...she's different in ways I fail to put into words" Adora thought as she waited for Catra in a cafe near the School. Adora had to be careful but knew her Father had little course of action to get her back besides flat out kidnaping her and she couldn't just sit around at Catras place all the time. Glimmer had started to ghost her completely since that day and Adora had to learn from Bow that she needed some time to "Cool off"...whatever that meant.

Glimmers mother, however, had contacted Adora instead, telling her that she was going to try and help her out as much as she could with School work but that her compliance was limited "Prime is also still an issue...wonder if he's pissed after what we done to his Son" she thought with a smile while sipping on her Coffee

As she was sitting there, minding her own business, the looks she got from some of the local clientele didn't go unnoticed. Among them was a decent looking young man with golden locks, roughly college age and blue Eyes that were shooting her glances every now and again while laughing with his friends. Adora was used to this and largely ignored it, silently hoping that he wouldn't get any ideas....no such luck today as he awkwardly walked over and went for it

"H..Hey.." Adora looked at him with cold indifference for a second before turning her attention back to her phone "..O-on a scale from 1 to America, how free are you tonight?" there it was. A line so stupid and lame that Adora had to actually take another look at him to check if he was still standing there...and he was.
