I can't believe it took me a MONTH to hear this Masterpiece. Literally the pure essence of unrequited feelings in Song form...but I digress

Narrator POV:

The next few Days, Adora's mood had hit bedrock and she couldn't even hide it. Through some very minor probing, she told Catra about the letter that explained that her birth Mother was born with a weak and frail Body and that Pregnancy was extremely complicated. Adora Gray was the result of an affair her Father had with his wifes Sister and when a combination of constant pain, undiagnosed post-partum depression and severe ostracisation from her Family, caused her to commit suicide, Braham took his unwanted daughter in. This also lead to Adoras "Mother" developing a severe drinking problem, unable to cope with the prospect of raising her Sisters child with a Husband who had cheated on her, Booze numbed her just enough to only act cruelly to the young Girl who never quite understood why her "Mother" hated her....until now

The following Weekend, Adora was still hardly herself again, her mind numb from all that had gone wrong in her Life that neither she nor her fake persona were fully present. Catra had tried everything she could think of to cheer her up but nothing worked. All the blonde wanted was to sleep, eat and lay in bed, slowly withering into an empty husk.

Sofia and Catra sat on the Kitchen table with their last resort... Adora Phone, which still was unlocked because of the blondes preference "I feel like shit doing this behind her back" Catra said

"I know but...it's been 3 weeks since she moved in here and time does not slow down for the sad ones...she needs this"

With a sigh, Catra called one of the only numbers that was saved "Hi, my Name is Catarina Orte...Ohh, yeah that one, umm listen...I need your help or rather, Adora needs your help.....hm....right...I understand....Thank you, I'll send you the address"

"So?"

"She's on the way but...I think I'll need to tell Adora about...her"

"Are you sure?" Sofia asked, carefully, remembering the state her Daughter had been in when the incident occurred 3 years ago " I don't want to see you like that again..."

Catra stood up and rubbed her neck, cracking it "I told you.... im over it"

---

Light broke through the nearby window, signaling that the Day was about to come to an end. Adora lay in Catras Bed, finding it increasingly difficult to stand up or find the energy for conversation or anything that required her to move. She knew that Catra and Sofia were trying to help her get over it but nothing worked and Adoras thoughts had started to drift into a far darker territory

"Maybe...mom had the right Idea" she thought, looking at the knife Catra kept beside the Bed, an old keepsake that Scorpia had gifted her when she moved away. Before any more dark thoughts could materialize in the blondes mind, the door opened and Catra walked in, closing the door behind her and taking a seat on the desk chair opposite of the blonde

"Hey...how are you doing?" Adora shrugged "... so..I was thinking that I still owed you a question"

"Keep it....you don't owe me anything..." Adora voice was weak and without energy or drive

"How about I answer a question, you never asked, despite wanting to...like.. why do I pretend that my feelings for you don't go beyond friendship?"

That woke Adoras interest, her Eyes focusing on the hybrid for the first time in days. Taking her silence as an invitation to continue, Catra stood up and noticed her Body shaking, afraid of the memories, the judgment and the consequences that telling Adora could have
