Narrator POV:
Adora had a dream that day, of her earliest memory. She was sitting on the Grass outside with a maid whose Face she couldn't remember, playing a Game she couldn't remember and her Father came home, angry and disheveled. He was drinking a lot and swore, loudly at the staff to leave, only now remembering that his Daughter existed. She remembers being afraid but not sure shy until he picked her up and hugged her, quietly crying "O God, our Father, as our loved one departs this world, I lift our family through your grace. I pray that you're with us during this time of grief. Please surround us and our loved ones with your presence and peace." He looked into his daughter's Eyes with something akin to pity "The children that are left behind grieve deeply for their parents. Please, watch over your daughter Marlena"
Adora woke up with a deep breath, unsure if this actually had happened or if her wounded brain just wanted to believe that there was a time he actually had a heart left inside of him. His words from yesterday still rang in her ears, continually torturing her...but there were other voices coming from the other room "How long was I out?" she muttered and checked the Phone to see she had slept through the night and deep into the next Day "Damn...I really needed some sleep" weirdly enough, she felt refreshed, as if her Brain needed the reboot
As she opened the Door she saw Bow and Huntara preparing a long Table in the middle of the Living Room while Catra stood on the other side on her Phone "Yeah, get the big one....of course not alcohol free, who are we? Mormons?"
"What...is happening here?"
"Oh hey, Adora" Catra walked over to her, giving her a quick kiss "We are planning a little get together to celebrate your new freedom" Adora wanted to say something but Catra just continued "At first I was like 'maybe a quinceanera since i'm sure she never had that' and you know what's not to like? Good People, good Food, some music, drugs and a good time buuuut that has a heavy Father/daughter vibe and while I never had that, had one with my mom which was awesome but may not be the best timing wise" again, Adora wanted to tell her that she's grateful or amazed but Catra was rambling at this point "So I called some friends, yes even yours, though Sparkles didn't pick up since she didn't know my number but I had bows and he told her and now shes on the was and picking up so...." enough, with a swift motion, Adora put her Hands over the hybrids mouth
"Okay okay okay, breathe, Catra....how much coffee did you have?"
"10...and 4 espresso....and maybe a few Redbull.....and 4 Monster, why?" she said, her Tail reminding the blonde of an old Sonic Game for some reason "I feel fine, super even"
"Hmmm until you crash" She looked around to see Sofia in the Kitchen talking with Milena and having her Daughter help prepare, the one she guessed was Scorpia had opened some Wine with a light blonde Woman beside her, happy to taste it. The whole room, or rather both rooms since the Living room and Kitchen were combined now with the Table in both, reminded Adora of an old Advertisement that used to play during Christmas times "Happy Family dinners" she muttered, absentmindedly and had to rub away a few Tears before she hugged Catra and lifted her lightly
"Hey, hey, No, Bad Adora, No!"
"....Thank you" she said, her face pressed in the hybrids shoulder, making her forget how much she hated the position she was in right now
"Happy to help....Always...now let me down before I kick you"
"Ohhhh but I like holding you like this...you're fluffy" Adora said and leaned in for a kiss when her cheek got stretched "Auauauau oka oka" she let her down "Au..."
