June's POV

"Wow, you know so much stuff about science," Esme looked at me in awe from her seat.

"I mean it's nothing crazy. I went to a private school but I probably learned a lot of the same stuff normal schools do," I shrugged. My sodium explanation had led to a lot more questions from Esme which in turn made a small explanation into an hour long ordeal of answering her questions.

"I didn't go to normal school," she admitted.

"Oh right, I forgot about that," I muttered, remembering the fact that she was raised by a gang leader.

"Yeah, I was homeschooled. I guess all that extra science stuff wasn't considered super important for me to learn."

"What did you learn?" I asked, curious about what would be on the curriculum made by someone called 'The Shredder'.

"I did learn all the basic stuff, math, science, writing, history, but probably more of the bare minimum. The stuff I was mostly taught was how to handle negotiations and political relations along with high stress situations. And of course physical training. Lots of training."

"Sounds like fun," I replied, my words dripping in sarcasm.

"Oh yes, very," she nodded her head, a smile on her face.

"Honestly, I've always wanted to go to a normal school. Is it like High School Musical?" she asked in all seriousness.

"Not really," I laughed, causing her to let out a disappointed 'aww'.

"There are different cliques and stuff, you know like sporty kids, popular kids, theater kids, stuff like that. But there is no singing and the drama is a lot more intense," I explained.

"What kind of kid were you?"

"I was more of a nerd. I studied a lot."

"That's surprising, I thought you would be more of a sporty type."

"No I w-," I froze suddenly realizing that Esme hadn't been the one to say that. I looked towards the doorway and saw Leo standing there with a small grin on his face.

"Right? I was thinking the same thing," Esme added.

"You're back," I said, surprised by his sudden presence. I guess I hadn't realized how much time had actually passed.

"Yeah, turns out it really was a tracker. Raph and Mikey are helping April bring a few things over to Casey's. She's gonna stay there for a little bit just in case," he replied.

"What did you do with the tracker?" Esme asked.

"Put it on some random semi that had been passing by. Hopefully that'll hold off whoever was trying to follow her for a little bit. Any luck on this end?"

"Actually yes, I finally found who owns the building from the other night," Donnie spoke up for the first time in a while, pulling up a bunch of files on his computer.

"Good work Don," Leo said as we all circled the computer.

"His name is Tommy Winslow. But I don't think he's the one responsible for the tailing and the tracker."

"Why not?" I asked.

"Because he's a middleman. He owns a bunch of store fronts under different names and has an insane amount of connections in the underworld. Most likely what happened is that someone made a deal with him to use his storefront and hired the purple dragons to 'rob' it."
