"Isn't it amazing?" Mikey asked.
"The bottle?" I frowned.
In Mikey's hand was an orange, glass bottle that had a bunch of clunky rhinestones and glitter hot glued to it.
"It's actual trash," Raph said.
"You're just jealous that it's orange and not red," Mikey replied.
"I can guarantee you I am not."
"Where'd you even get that?" Esme asked.
"It was over there in the corner," Mikey pointed towards the edge of the roof we were on.
"Hey guys, heads up. We've got some purple dragons coming this way," Leo quietly called over to us. I looked up meeting his eyes for a split second before looking away.
Ever since the night at the pool I've been having a really difficult time being around him. Whenever I looked at him or heard his voice all I could think about was the shed.
How close we had been, the way his gaze had dropped to my lips while he held his arms above me. I clutched my stomach, willing the butterflies that had begun to flutter to go away.
I followed the others to the edge of the roof and watched as a group of guys sauntered along the empty street. Each of them had the trademark tattoo of the purple dragons.
One of them leaned down, grabbing a rock off the sidewalk. His other buddies snickered and watched as he pulled back his arm and suddenly launched it towards the window of a shop.
The glass shattered and the group of guys immediately leapt in, the sound of crashing and more glass breaking pouring out into the street.
"That's our cue," Leo said. We leapt down into the street and quickly approached the building.
"Well it looks like you guys are having a smashing time," Leo said, causing the purple dragons to stop in their tracks.
"Yeah, we hate to shatter your dreams of robbing this place, but hopefully you'll forgive our intrusion," I added on.
"Oh my god, please make it stop," Donnie breathed. Leo looked back at me with the biggest smile on his face, and this time I didn't look away. I smiled right back.
"Look out!" Esme tackled me, and just in time too. A blade went whizzing past where I had just been, clattering out onto the street. Leo went sprinting forward, taking down the guy who had just thrown the knife.
This prompted everyone else to spring into action. Esme helped me off the ground and then we split up, each taking on a different person. A man came sprinting towards me and swung.
I dodged his attack and threw my own punch to his stomach, hearing a groan of pain leave him. While he was taken off guard I swung again, this time hitting him across the face. That hit almost knocked him completely over.
He went stumbling into one of the display cases and grabbed a book that sat on top of it. He swung the book at my head and I ducked down, reaching up to grab his arm. I then shifted my body and in one quick motion threw him over my shoulder and into another display, effectively knocking him out.
I heard someone shouting behind me and whirled around just in time to see another one of the guys coming at me with a bat. I lifted my fists up but then jumped in surprise when a glass bottle came out of nowhere, hitting the man in the head.
He dropped to the ground and I saw the remnants of the orange bottle, realizing that it had been the bottle Mikey found earlier. I looked towards where it had come from and saw the orange clad turtle.
