 April's POV

I looked back down at the text Leo had sent me earlier and then checked the time.

"I wonder when they're gonna get here," I muttered, which was immediately followed by a knock on the door.

"Hey, perfect timing," I smiled, throwing open the door to be met with the two other girls of the group.

"Hey April," Esme chirped, walking by me and into the apartment.

"Hi," June greeted softly, following after her.

"Make yourself comfortable, I'll just go grab some refreshments," I said, shutting the door.

"I'll help you," Esme motioned for June to take a seat.

"I can help too, if you need," she said, glancing back over to me.

"Nonsense. You sit, we'll be right back," Esme practically pushed her down on the couch and then ran past me into the kitchen. I sent June a small smile and then followed after Esme, standing next to her as I opened one of the cabinets to grab some chips.

"You know the mission?" she whispered so quietly I almost didn't hear her.

"Mission?" I asked, cocking an eyebrow at her sudden seriousness.

"Mission find out if June has the hots for Leo."

"So that's what this is about," I almost gasped, suddenly understanding why Leo had asked if they could spend the night so out of the blue.

"Just follow my lead," she grabbed a few of the items we had gotten out and walked back out into the living room.

"How exciting," I whispered to myself, grabbing the rest of the snacks and joining them.

"So how have things been lately, April, I feel like it's been a while since we last talked," June said, pouring her drink of choice in the glass Esme handed to her.

"Things have been good, that retirement party I was telling you about is coming up soon actually."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that," she replied. As we talked Esme poured three shots and placed them in front of us, sending me a sly wink while June wasn't looking.

"Why don't we have a toast? To Rob Silverman," I held up the full shot glass, piecing together Esme's plan.

"To Rob Silverman," the girls said in unison before tapping the glasses onto the table and then bringing them back up to their lips.

"So Esme, what was going on between you and Raph in the bathroom the other day?" June asked.

"What happened in the bathroom?" I asked incredulously, looking at June in surprise and then back over to Esme's bright red face.

"I heard a bunch of noise coming from there, so I went in to see if everything was ok. All I saw was Esme getting dragged into the shower," June smirked. I envisioned their bathroom and how goofy that must've looked but then realized that June had mentioned Raph as the one dragging her into the shower.

"It's not what it sounds like," Esme quickly inserted, waving her hands around frantically.

"Are you sure?" I laughed.

"Yes I'm sure."
"So he didn't drag you into the shower?"

"Well yeah, he did, but he only did it because I dumped a bunch of cold water on him over the top of the shower curtain," Esme explained.
