Leo's POV

I knocked lightly on the door, hearing feet shuffling on the other side before the door was opened.

"Good morning Leo, what can I do for you?" Esme rubbed the sleep from her eyes, yawning after her words.

"Hey, I was just wondering if maybe you could help us with the interrogation today?" I kept my voice low, not knowing if Raph was up yet, but not wanting him to get upset if he was.

"I don't know Leo," her gaze quickly dropped to the ground and she wrapped her arms tightly around herself.

"I wouldn't be asking unless it was important. You have the most experience with this kind of stuff, so you might actually be able to get him to answer." She remained silent, seemingly deep in thought.

"Please Esme. I normally wouldn't ask, but if it has something to do with June, I need to know what he wants." She finally met my eyes and then nodded her head.

"Ok, I'll help." It felt like a weight was lifted off my chest and I let out a small breath I didn't know I had been holding in.

"Thank you." She smiled lightly and nodded her head.

"I'm gonna get ready and then I'll meet you out there."

"Ok." She shut the door leaving me alone in the hallway. Not for long though.

"Hey dude, so I was thinking today we can leave him alone in a room with Tinkle. I'm sure he'll tell us everything," Mikey popped up from behind me, seemingly coming out of nowhere.

"That might work if you put him in your room because of how disgusting it is," Donnie walked out of his own room, stretching out his arms.

"We are not doing either of those."

"So then what's the game plan?" Donnie asked.

"Esme's gonna help. Let's wait and see what she has to say," I crossed my arms over my chest and leaned against the wall when suddenly the bedroom door next to me was thrown open. Raph looked around and then locked eyes with me.

"You got a lot of nerve," he hissed.

"We need her help Raph." He just scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"You knew she would help you if you pushed her."

"June could be in danger, what did you want me to do? Just let him go and hope nothing else bad happens?" I snapped.

"You know damn well why she doesn't want to be involved."

"I know, and trust me I wouldn't have asked if I thought we'd be able to get him to talk on our own." Esme came out of the room and stood next to Raph, his attention now on her.

"It's ok Raph, I'm going to need to move on at some point," she smiled and then motioned down the hall.

"But Esm-," she cut him off before he could fully protest.

"Let's go grab June and then we can talk strategy." Raph let out a small sigh but followed her along with the rest of us.

"Oh shit," Donnie suddenly blurted.

"What is it?" Everyone had frozen in their tracks and when I pushed through them I saw what had caused the sudden stop. The chair was empty.

"June," I breathed, suddenly sprinting over to where her room was.

"No, no, no," I muttered, quickly looking around.

"She's gone," I choked out, quickly coming back out into the main area of the lair.
