June's POV
"Oh shit!"
"What is it, what's going on?" I asked in a panic, shooting out of the guest room and looking around wildly. Was my dad here? Did he already figure out that I was still alive? If he did I wouldn't be much longer.
"The pipe!" April pointed towards the open cabinet under the sink, water gushing from one of the pipes.
"Oh shit."
"That's what I'm saying!" April exclaimed, taking the kitchen towel and pressing it against the leak. It didn't do much.
I glanced around, trying to think of what to do when I spotted a roll of duct tape on the counter. I snatched it up and ran over, beginning to wrap it around the burst pipe.
After a few minutes of struggling I was finally able to get it wrapped around enough so water wasn't going everywhere. April and I took a step back, looking at the dripping pipe.
"So, is there anyone we can call?" I asked.
"Management here sucks so I can't call them," April sighed, rubbing her forehead while she placed her other hand on her hip. Then, as if an idea suddenly sprung to mind, she went over to her phone, dialing someone.
"Hey, I kind of have an issue," she said. A pause.
"It's a leaky pipe. Think you can fix it?"
I looked back over to the pipe in question, watching all the water dripping from the duct tape.
"Thanks Jones, I really appreciate it." She hung up the phone, placing it on the counter.
"Who was that?" I asked.
"My friend Casey. And don't worry, he's also a friend of the turtles, so he knows your situation."
"How many people know the turtles?" April had already been a shock but now there was someone else who also knew them? How many friends did these guys have?
"Just us, Casey, and Esme. They've been seen before while on patrol and stuff but we're the main group of people they actually know."
Huh, they had a bigger friend group than me.
...
"Thanks for coming Casey," April let the tall, muscular man in. He had shoulder length black hair and wore a white tank top with some sweats.
"No problem Red," he smiled at her.
"You must be June," he said upon noticing I was standing behind April.
"Yep. You must be Casey."
"The one and only," he laughed.
"It's nice to meet you."
"You too. So where's this busted pipe?" He asked.
"Under the sink," April pointed towards the kitchen. Casey dropped his tool bag on the towel covered floor and then opened up the cabinet.
"Alright, let's get a look at this thing," he muttered, pulling the tape off. Almost instantly water sprayed against his face, causing him to let out a shocked cry and go tumbling back onto his butt.
"Whoops, sorry. Should've warned you Jones," but from the smile on her face I could tell April wasn't really that sorry.
"Yeah yeah, I'll get over it," he waved her off, wiping the water off his face as he reached into his tool bag and started grabbing supplies.
