"His lips crashed into mine. It was my first time and it felt so wonderful, like we were soul mates, puzzle pieces that fit perfectly together. Sparks erupted around me in a moment of pure pleasure and excitement. His tongue brushed against my bottem lip, asking for—"
NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE. NOT FINISHING THAT!
I'm sorry, I just keep seeing these horrifically detailed passionate kissing scenes. Just-why? Why?
I don't want to hear about how everything "clicked" about how you "fought for dominance" god, just writing that makes me want to barf.
Also, why are all the kisses French? Don't get me wrong, your characters can get steamy all they want, but their first kiss? Everyone always writes "It was my first time," or whatever. How is this your first time??? Why not any fluffy or clumsy kisses? I mean they treat first kisses like virginity!
Or at least less cliche writing. Talk about how you felt, not physically, but emotionally. "It was confusing," "I was a bit shocked," "Tried not to get embarrassed." Those seem a ton more realistic and relaxed compared to: "We turned into savages." Like apparently everyone writing a kiss scene just finished watching mean girls.
Honestly, I'm more of a fan of gentle forehead or cheek kisses. They just feel so much more loving a respectful than... that.
Also, again with the cliche writing, "we fit together like puzzle pieces," why do I keep hearing this? I don't know.
