Day after the wedding.

Tywin and Kevan talk about the war and how to stop it.

Serena and Sansa talk, and Tywin lets Serena know the decision he has made. I hope you guys like it. 🥰

Tywin was warm and comfortable, for the first time in years he did not want to get out of bed. He had always despised laziness and had woken up with the sun, sometimes even earlier than some of his servants. That morning was a bit different, while his body had woken up at the same time as always he did not want to get up. One of his fingers moved slowly, feeling the silky skin beneath his fingertips and his body hardened immediately. He was not pleased by this new development, he did not wish to want his wife, to want to stay by her side. He had never seen the point of cuddling people and Serena would be no different.

After a few minutes, he moved off the bed and wrapped his robe around himself. Serena did not seem to miss him at all, she just turned over and continued sleeping. She was not used to her duties as a wife yet and Tywin did not expect her to wake up as early as he did. He made sure to wash up quietly and dressed without wanting to bother her. He needed to be away from his wife and forget about the things he wanted to do. They were at war, this was not the time to become infatuated with a girl.

Tywin stepped out of his chambers and one of his guards immediately moved to follow him, while the other one stayed to guard his wife. The guards would be changing in about an hour, and he had things he needed to take care of. He entered the room they had been using for the small council meetings and was surprised when he found Kevan there. His brother stared at him with an amused look and raised an eyebrow.

"And here I thought you would want to stay in bed with your beautiful, young wife."

"You should know me better than that." He took his seat at the head of the table and looked at the papers his brother had been checking. "What are you doing?"

"Giving myself a headache." Kevan let out a loud sigh and shook his head. "Even if you do not want to hear it, your wife is right. Peace will be the best option for all of us."

"You know perfectly well that it will take more than my marriage to have peace with the Starks." He was also tired of war, but could not show weakness. "Robb Stark will not give up his title as king in the north."

"Do you really care about that frozen wasteland?" Kevan shook his head. "You could end this war, have your son back, and finally get rid of the Tyrells. Who cares if the price for that is the north?"

"It will be seen as a weakness." His brother was not wrong, especially when it came to the Tyrells. Tywin could not stand them, they were greedy, manipulative farmers who believed themselves to be grander than they were. Tywin knew all they cared about was for Margaery to become queen so their statuses would be raised even higher. "We cannot be seen to just give up."

"We would not be giving up." He could tell Kevan was getting frustrated, his brother was tired of dealing with people dying, Cersei and Joffrey. Tywin was tired also, but Cersei and Joffrey were his family, whether he liked it or not. "We can find a way to make sure the north is connected to our family, besides how connected it is by you and Serena's wedding."

"How?" Tywin frowned. "I do not think Robb Stark will be happy with my wedding to his sister. I do not see how he will accept any of our conditions."

"He will, especially if it means that he gets to return home with his family, and we tell them about Roose Bolton. Then he can repay us by marrying Myrcella, bringing our families even closer together."
