Chapter 19

Robb and Jon talk to Myrcella and Robb realizes that he might have misjudge her. Serena makes Jon tell her the reason he and Robb came to Kings Landing. I hope you guys like it. 🥰

He did not like Kings Landing, he found the place too hot and stuffy and it smelled awful. There were far too many people in this place and he could not even fathom why people would like to live in a place like this. He could not wait to return to the north, to be back in his castle and away from everyone at this place. He had only been there for two days and it had been more than enough for him. Tomorrow was the feast in honor of Princess Myrcella's name day. He did not want to go, but Serena had made it clear that missing it was not an option. Jon also seemed excited about the feast, Robb could not blame his brother. His mother had never allowed him to attend Winterfell feasts, so this would be the first feast his brother would be attending, at least the only one he had been invited to as a guest of honor.

Robb had attempted to fix his mother's treatment of Jon as soon as his brother had returned to Winterfell. Since he was now the king, he gave the orders and his mother could not do anything about it. She had not been happy when Robb had given Jon chambers in the family wing and had everyone treat him as a respected member of his family. He and his mother had several fights over it until he had made it clear that his brother would always be welcome in his home. Even Sansa had been happy with Jon's return and apologized for the way she had treated him when they were children.

"Are you ever going to stop brooding? That was always more my thing." Jon stepped beside him. "People are afraid to approach you."

"I am happy about that." He did not trust any of the people who had tried to approach him. "They all want to speak to me about alliances and a few have even proposed a marriage alliance."

"Between whom?"

"Between me and their daughters," Robb answered with a roll of his eyes.

"Are they not aware you are betrothed to Princess Myrcella?"

"They do not seem to care." Robb shook his head in disgust. "All these people smile at each other while burying a dagger behind their backs."

"Is that why that woman has been making eyes at you and asking you to accompany her on walks? What is her name?" Jon frowned for a moment before looking back at him. "Margaery Tyrell."

"Yes, she is not very subtle." Robb liked Margaery Tyrell least of all, he could see the ambition and greediness in her eyes. "She wants to be queen no matter what and since Tywin is not allowing her near his grandson she believes I would be a good replacement."

"I do not think you will be alive too long if you were to wed her." Jon's smile became mocking. "She has married two kings and they are both dead."

Robb let out a laugh at Jon's jest, even though what his brother was saying was very true. Even if it had not been true he had no intention of marrying Margaery, he had given his word to Tywin and he would not break it. In a year he would be marrying Myrcella. Thinking about his betrothed made him feel all warm, which was confusing. He had never seen a more beautiful woman, no one else could compare. But it was not just her beauty, it was also her eyes, there was warmth in them. Her voice was sweet, like honey and there was something about her that made him want to protect her.

There was a noise, making Jon and Robb turn around. The woman he had just been thinking about was walking towards them. She was speaking to a maid, the other woman smiling and neither woman had noticed them yet. They were almost on top of them when Myrcella saw them, her eyes widened for a moment before she gave a deep curtsey and dismissed her maid.
