Sansa and Myrcella have a small request for Serena. Tywin shows Serena he is more than ok with what Sansa and Myrcella asked. This is a short, fluffy chapter. I hope you guys like it. 🥰
1 week later.
Serena read the letter again and frowned. Her brother had killed the Boltons and the Freys, he had also executed his wife, after confirming she was not with child. Now he was on his way to Winterfell to take back their home. He was asking for her to send Sansa back once Winterfell was safe. While Serena was sure her sister was dying to return home and see her family she was not sure she was comfortable sending Sansa back. Her sister was still a little fragile and Serena did not trust anyone enough to go with her sister on such a long trip. She would need to speak to Tywin about it. She was hoping that it would be a while before she would need to make the decision.
"This wedding is going to be the death of me." Serena looked up from the letter and smiled at Tyrion. The man looked tired and annoyed. "I have never met someone so shallow and I have known Cersei my entire life."
"Let me guess," Serena said with a laugh. "Margaery is not the paragon of virtue she wants everyone to believe she is."
"They are asking for so many things." Tyrion poured himself some wine as he continued to complain. "Even after I told them the coffers are too empty for that, they still have not stopped asking for things."
"Have you talked to Tywin?"
"No," Tyrion sat across from her. "You know how my father is, he would consider this a failure. I need to get this taken care of without my father's help."
"Well, then I wish you luck," Serena said with a smile.
Since Tywin had named Tyrion master of coin the poor man had been working nonstop. Tyrion had always wanted his father's approval and he was working really hard for it. Serena felt bad for him and wished that her husband would be a bit more lenient on some things. She knew that Tywin blamed Tyrion for what happened to his previous wife.
She should have told Tyrion that he should not worry too much about Joffrey's wedding. If everything worked the way she had planned Joffrey would be dead by then. He was already starting to show signs that he was ill. No one was worried yet and Serena had made sure that no one knew about what she was doing or the meetings that she had been having.
The doors to her chambers opened and Sansa walked in, Myrcella trailing after her. Both girls had a book in their hands and they were rosy-cheeked.
"We have come to ask you something," Sansa said, the smile never leaving her face, while Myrcella was now biting her lip nervously. "Tywin said that Myrcella would move into the tower of the hand."
"Yes, I am aware." Serena leaned back and looked between her sister and the princess. "Tywin told me about it. He wants me to start teaching her about the North and preparing her for when she gets married."
"Yes," Sansa appeared very excited. "I was wondering if I could move into your chambers and Myrcella would move into mine. Both chambers are close together and they are two of the three largest chambers here."
"You want my chambers?" Serena asked amusedly. "Where am I supposed to stay?"
"Please," Tyrion said with a roll of his eyes. "When was the last time you actually slept in your chambers?"
Serena could not help but flush at Tyrion's innuendo. He was right, she had not slept in her chambers since the week after her marriage. Tywin's chambers had become hers also, but he had never invited her to move to his chambers and she did not want to assume.
