Serena smiled at her maid as she dismissed her for the night before sitting down and picking up her hairbrush. She had decided to sleep in Sansa's chambers since they had not been used in a while. She had the maids clean it every sennight and was happy that they had been cleaned the night before. She had already put the children to bed, but she had noticed they had been a bit more clingy tonight. They could tell that something had happened, it was not hard to do with the tension between her and Tywin being so noticeable. Serena had not missed the apologetic look Myrcella had given them.

The doors opened and Tywin walked in, her hand paused mid-brush before she just kept going. She had been hoping he would respect her wishes and leave her alone for the night, but she could see that it would not be possible. He closed the door and moved closer to her.

"I am sure you are supposed to knock." She put the hairbrush down and stood up. "I do not want to do this tonight. I am tired and would like to get some sleep, you can go back to telling me how I have destroyed your precious family tomorrow."

"Serena," He moved to stop her before she could get to the bed. "That is not what I wanted to speak to you about."

"Tywin, please." She tried to move around, but he put his hands on her shoulders, stopping her. "I do not want to do this right now."

"I do not want to fight with you." She saw how uncomfortable he looked. "I am sorry for what I said."

"Which part?" She would not let him out of it easily.

"Everything. I understand why you wanted justice for your father." He pulled her a bit closer. "I am sorry that I did not take into account the way you were feeling or that I made you feel like you were not part of my family, you are the best part of it."

"It is fine, I think we need to spend some time apart." She did not want to be apart from her husband, but he had hurt her. "I do not want to fight, I just want to sleep."

"Serena, I do not want to fight." He still had not let her go. "But I will not be separated from you. You are my wife and you and our children are my family."

"You hurt me."

"I know," He cupped her face and pressed his forehead against hers. "And I am sorry but do not ask me to stay away from you because I cannot do that. I need you."

He pressed his lips against hers, the kiss was soft, almost apologetic. She closed her eyes, enjoyed his closeness, and kissed him back. He pulled her closer until their bodies were crushed together. He wanted her, she could feel it and she wanted him too, but she also did not want him to think that everything was well between them.

"Tywin, wait." She broke the kiss. "I do not want to do this tonight, not like this."

"Fine, we do not have to do anything, but do not ask me to stay away from you." He kissed the top of her head before pulling her into a hug. "I cannot be away from you, I love you."

"I love you too," Even after he hurt her.

"Just let me stay with you," He kissed her again, this kiss was quick. "I know you are still angry and hurt and I do not blame you. I just need to be close to you."

She looked at him for a moment, before nodding her head. She was mad at him, but she still loved him and wanted to be near him.
