Serena hugged Rickon and kissed the top of his head, before kissing his cheeks. There were tears running down her face as she hugged her little brother. She had believed he was dead for so long that she could not believe he was there. She had been so happy when she received Sansa's letter telling her that her brothers and sister were alive years before, but seeing him was something completely different. Tywin was standing near her, with a worried look on his face. It was always the same while she was with child, he hovered. She paid no attention to him as she continued to hug her brother.
"I think I am jealous." Robb gave her a mocking hurt look before looking at Jon. "Was she that happy when she saw us for the first time after so many years?"
"I do not believe so." Jon pretended to think. "She did not hug us half as long. We now know who her favorite is. Aryan and Bran will be so hurt."
"No, they will not." Serena's voice was indignant as she glared at her brothers. "I love you all the same, but you are both men and Rickon is a little boy."
"I will be big soon." Her little brother took a step back and puffed up his chest. "I will be a great knight one day and help Robb protect the North."
"Who are you going to protect the North for?" Jon glared at Rickon and ruffled his curls. "I will be the king, do you think I will attack my brother?"
"Of course not." Rickon was quick to shake his head. "But there must be something to protect Robb from, or else things will get boring very quickly."
They all laughed at Rickon's words, happy that her brother still acted like a child. Serena had been worried that the war and everything that happened had changed her brother, but it appears Rickon was unscathed. He was the same lovable and happy boy he had been before. She was glad that she had been able to see him once more. She was happy that most of her family was together once more.
