Serena ran a finger over her daughter's cheek and smiled when the little girl pursed her lips. The birth had been hard, but it had not taken as long as her last one. The midwife had insisted she would need to rest for at least a few days and had the maester check the babe. Serena had not stopped smiling since her daughter had been placed in her arms. Tywin had brought Jayse, Tion, and Jayne to meet their new sister. The children were excited about the new babe and they had all suggested names for her.
The doors opened and Tywin entered with a cup in his hands. He gave her a small smile as he moved closer and placed the cup on the small table beside the bed.
"The maester said you should drink something." He took their daughter from her and pressed her against his chest. "I brought you some pomegranate juice, it will be good for you."
"Thank you." She grabbed the cup and took a small sip, smiling at the image Tywin made while holding their daughter. "We should name her, she needs a name."
"What do you wish to name her?"
"I thought you would want to pick the name."
"I have named our three children." Tywin sat beside her and kissed the top of the babe's head. "I think is only fair you name this one."
"Thank you." She watched as the babe moved, before settling against Tywin's chest. The little girl appeared happy to be in her father's arms. "I like the name Jocelyn."
"I think that is an excellent name." Tywin leaned forward and kissed her softly, before kissing their daughter's forehead. "Jocelyn Lannister sounds very good."
Serena had already written to her sister, brothers, and Myrcella, letting them know about her daughter's birth and that everything was well with both of them. Myrcella would be leaving for the North in two moons and the girl was very excited. Serena was happy, her family was finally at peace and everything was going well for them. She had never been so happy before.
