The whole class stood there nervous about what they were in the gym for. Izuku was mostly relaxed, if a bit irritated by a few of the kids who kept glancing in his direction.
Naturally, Tenya had as ever his disapproving of Izuku's shenanigans stare on his face whenever their eyes met. Kaminari looked amused, and Izuku couldn't find it in him to look at him for too long. He was far too afraid his fur would somehow develop the capability to convey that he was definitely blushing.
Todoroki's behavior was strange to him until Izuku had heard Momo quietly and kindly explain to him that not everyone knows Izuku can transform. Up until that point, he was under the impression they knew and was confused about why the others were making such a fuss about Izuku.
That was nothing compared to this one angry looking blonde kid though. The very same one Izuku noticed earlier had watched him and his dad speak. Izuku could swear he's almost heard him growl for some reason. He had no idea what his problem was. Hopefully he's just one of those so-called dog people. Izuku felt himself shiver at the mere thought.
He's far too glad his dads have never shown interest in acquiring pets. He's happy to let them feed the alley cats. He remembers how much he himself had relied on kinder humans back in the day. He's unsure how it would go if another cat were to live with them however. Cats by nature are territorial and Izuku feels like either he or the new addition would just end up fighting. The thought of a dog living in his house, though? That's not even up for consideration. It's entirely out of the question. Dogs are far too loud and certainly far too happy for no good reason.
Izuku's rapidly derailing train of thought came to a halt when his dad walked in, carrying something that resembled a wriggling insect caught in a spider's web. This particular insect was thrown on the ground, still wrapped up tightly and desperately trying to get free. Izuku adjusted his posture on Koda's shoulder so that he had a better angle to see. He soon realized that it was in fact one of the kids from his class.
How he ended up like this though, or even at U.A for that matter is beyond him. To Izuku, who admittedly isn't the tallest human boy around, this one looked closer in height to that of an elementary schooler. Maybe that was actually the case? He was just a lost child who tried to walk around U.A?
"Sero" his dad said loudly all of a sudden
"Yes sir?" A black haired boy with some type of elbow related quirk tentatively stepped forward in response
"Cover his mouth."
This Sero kid looked confused and Izuku couldn't blame him. Izuku is used to his dad being kind, especially towards kids. He might seem gruff towards his students but Izuku knows he's always cared about them. He couldn't help but wonder what this particular kid he had caught could possibly have done. Sero looked unsure between the kid and his teacher. "S-sir?"
"Would you rather join him?" is the only response he got with a stern glare to accompany it.
His eyes went wide giving a stuttering "n-No"
The slack of the capture weapon around the kid who, to Izuku, resembled a grape the longer he looked at him was loosened. Sero bent his arm and produced some sort of tape from his elbow. With tape now in hand and ready the last of the scarf keeping the grape quiet was released. He didn't even have a chance to so much as squeal before the tape had already covered his mouth again.
"Good. If he even breathes funny you're allowed to tape him so thoroughly he won't be able to get loose before the new year." his dad said, throwing a glare towards the grape to show he was being serious. The Sero boy just nodded, probably unsure if he himself was allowed to speak and took a ready stance.
