Izuku found that annoyingly, as expected the Nedzu creature was correct. The tests he had him take were remarkably doable and only found himself mildly struggling with history and economics. He had expected as much, human history wasn't the most exciting thing to Izuku's mind. Economics also shared in his lack of enthusiasm for it, the concept of money still being a rather ridiculous idea.
He still remembers almost getting in trouble for just taking something that had caught his attention, luckily his dad was with him and paid the annoyed vendor. He had his first lesson on money that very day and even to this day he personally doesn't see the point, but he at least now knows humans take it quite seriously.
He had just finished with the last packet of tests when there was a series of light but rapt knocks at the door. Nedzu with a tone Izuku would identify as amused called for the person to enter. He was no doubt overly used to humans just barging in. During his time where Nedzu had taught him it had happened enough, he also suspects that's why likes to preempt it by remotely opening the door before people can do it themselves.
Izuku had been so busy with his tests that his mind had put everything else aside, but the moment Kaminari entered looking mildly nervous his focus was entirely on the blonde.
"Kaminari-kun, this is a surprise. Welcome, would you like some tea?"
Izuku knew of course that was an utter lie, Nedzu has access to all of the cameras on campus. Both obvious and hidden, especially the one right outside his door. He'd no doubt have seen Kaminari coming long before he was even on this floor.
"Uh, n-no thank you sir..." Kaminari stuttered looking a bit confused at the notion of casually having tea with his principal. Izuku knew the chimera saw it as a human ritual most people are comfortable with, an excellent starting point to most conversations. He's seen the creature use both put someone at ease or to throw them off balance by the unexpected offer.
Izuku however didn't think too long about that, too busy staring at his crush's increasingly pink nervous induced blush. He found the blonde all the more pretty with that extra bit of color to his face.
"Well I hope you don't mind if I indulge in a cup." Nedzu smiled, pouring yet another cup for himself. Izuku often wondered how that tiny body handled so much liquid. The chimera seemingly drinks twice his body weight of the stuff, daily.
"N-not at all s-sir"
"Excellent" Nedzu said, clapping his paws together, quite satisfied. "Now what can I help you with today?"
Kaminari looked panicked and when his eyes met Izuku's own he only seemed to gain a few extra shades of red. "Ah, u-uhm, w-well i-"
As cute as Izuku found the other boy's stuttering and blushing, he decided to save him. Not everyone is equipped to deal with the enigma that is the school's principal. "He's here for me." Izuku cut him off, smirking when he saw relief in the other boy's honey colored eyes. "We have a date, sorry I'm late" he said, eyeing the clock on the wall, which informed him that it was indeed ten minutes after school had actually finished for everyone else.
"Oh no worries, looks like you've been busy." He giggled, eyeing the large stack of now completed exam packets.
"Nedzu is testing me out of normal classes so i can use the time to nap"
Kaminari's eyes went wide when he saw the pile of exam packets next to Izuku but he didn't say anything, his only reaction was to slightly smile at Izuku.
"That wasn't the intended purpose of these tests Yamazawa-kun..." Nezu chided him with an air of mirth mixed in.
Izuku stuck out his tongue at the creature and gave a thumbs down as he replied. "Boo"
Nedzu just shook his head amused, finishing up on his current teacup, the eighth in the short time Izuku has been there. "If you've finished the packets you may go on your date."
Kaminari let out a tiny squeak which only served to endear him to an already smitten Izuku further.
"You boys have fun." Nedzu added as Izuku stood and placed the large stack of exams on his desk.
"Thanks." Izuku said to him before turning to Kaminari, his phone now in hand. "I just gotta text my dads while we walk and then we can go."
"Sounds good." Kaminari smiled, opening the door for Izuku before looking back at their principal. "G-goodbye sir."
"Goodbye Kaminari-kun, Yamazawa-kun." Nedzu waved before starting to pour his next teacup. Izuku once again seriously wondered if the mammal was going to burst at some point... He shook the thought from his head as the door closed and Kaminari sighed heavily.
"You okay there Kami?" Izuku asked fondly. He knew what was wrong of course, not many people handle being around Nedzu as well as he does.
"Yeah, I'm good. Just stressful being in the principal's office. I'm usually only in a place like that if I'm in trouble." He laughed nervously, hand rubbing the back of his neck.
"I'm pretty used to it." Izuku told him with a shrug. "Nedzu was responsible for all of my education up until now. He's pretty chill most of the time, but drinks far too much tea though." Izuku laughed as he waited for either his dad or pops to reply to his text. He didn't have to wait long and groaned in amused annoyance at his parents' replies.
DAD😴
I thought I had warned you against loud blondes... Be home by curfew. Stay safe kitten
POPS✨
Aww my baby is growing up!!!!!!😭 Have a fun date kiddo.🥳
Izuku turned locked and put away his phone, eager to get out of school before either of his parents happened to track him down as they left. He's not quite ready for either of his parents to overwhelm his date with increasingly embarrassing questions.
"All good, let's go before we run into my dad and he can tease me." Izuku said as he, without thinking about it, grabbed Kaminari by the wrist.
