3 - stawberry kisses

Late 2017
On a mission somewhere in Japan

Megumi Fushiguro and Y/n Ieiri have been assigned a mission together. Defeating a grade 2 curse somewhere in Japan.

"I brought snacks for us Fushiguro, are you a fan of strawberries?" As they were getting on the train for their one hour journey to where they were gonna exorcise the curses, Y/n pulled out a small container of strawberries she had in her small bag and offered some to the boy in front of her.

"Only when they aren't sweet, I'm not a fan of sweet things," Megumi politely declined the snack Y/n brought and she put it away for later.

The destination they were heading to was Sendai. They went on a bullet train, the trip lasted a little over an hour. Which ment y/n could take a small nap and not worry about anything for the time being. As Y/n looked out the window to her left side, the rapid moving scenery was peaceful enough to make her fall asleep against the glass.

As her head was slowly slipping down, in an uncomfortable position, Megumi noticed and grabbed y/n's face before it fell. She opened her eyes and blinked her eyes slowly at Megumi before rubbing them.

The raven haired boy shifted towards her seat. Now he was sitting next to the girl who was half asleep still. "Y/n, lean on my shoulder if you want to fall asleep," he moved her head slowly to his shoulder, and she quickly snuggled way more comfortably. His eyes went down to look at the girl on his left shoulder, he was still and didn't move because he wanted her to get the best sleep.

Unknowingly, his head fell on top of hers, drifting into a slumber like never before.

"Greeting passengers, we got informed that there is a fire by our route, please be patient and wait while the flames calm. Estimated waiting time is about 20 minutes." The announcement on the speaker woke the two sorcerers up, as they heard the problem, their sleeping position had not yet moved and remained the same before y/n realized the not proper way they were sleeping.

"I'm sorry!" Y/n quickly moved her head off of Megumi's shoulder and apologized for her actions, but Megumi knew he was the reason they were like this and said it was okay.

"Can you believe the train stopped, now we have to exorcise the curse even faster," y/n once again, pulled out her snack which was strawberries and started eating them calmly. Her cheeks moving up and down which Megumi found very cute and kept looking at her with a smile.

The girl quickly realized and looked back at him. She simply thought he just wanted a berry too. "You want one Fushiguro?" She offered him one and he politely declined. Not wanting to put the fruit back in the bag she took a bite of it, half of the berry on her hand and half in her mouth.

By the time she took the second bite, Megumi grabbed her hand and leaned close to her. Their noses were touching, the strawberry still in y/n's mouth hence she was so nervous to even swallow it. He looked down at her lips and the strawberry in between them and leaned down to take a bite of it, both their mouths touching and not kissing completely.

He then went back to his seat comfortably and closed his eyes, instantly going back to sleep.

"Megumi? What was that? Are you experiencing a lucid dream or something?" Y/n was shocked in the bold move he pulled and started wondering what they were because no normal classmates do things like that.

The boy only mumbled in his sleep something in his sleep, which y/n couldn't catch. Her cheeks turned red as she replayed the moment. Maybe Megumi was very sleepy and didn't know what he was doing. She concluded that was definitely the answer and went back to eating strawberries.

The 20 minutes of waiting time passed by fast, before they knew it, well, y/n knew it, they were already in Sendai. Megumi heard the speakers and woke up like nothing happened and got off the train with Y/n.

"That was the best sleep I've had in some time," Megumi turned to look at Y/n who was looking up at him in confusion. So he didn't remember anything? He was actually having a lucid dream moment?

"So you're telling me you don't remember nothing of what you did on the train?" Y/n crossed her arms and looked at him with an angry expression. How was he just going to practically kiss her and act like it didn't happen.

"What do you mean?" He asked confused. "You kissed me on the train while I was eating strawberries and now are acting like you didn't do anything!" Y/n explained to him which made his eyes widen.

"I did? Y/n, I'm sorry that was probably an accident while I was asleep, you should've pushed me off and beated me up. I would have allowed it," he kept bowing down, scared of what he had done and didn't even know what to say in this situation.

"I assumed you were asleep Fushiguro, it's fine let's just get this mission over with okay," she uncrossed her arms and started walking towards their assigned destination where the curse was. He followed behind her like a scolded dog until they got to where they needed to be.

The mission itself wasn't so difficult, Megumi got some scratches on his face which y/n quickly took care of. He was zoning out the whole time they were in Sendai. Head empty only one thing on his mind: the kiss.

He didn't know why he did it, it just felt right to do. He wanted strawberry kisses, and he thought of you.

"Y/n, Gojo-sensei wants us to bring him some Kikufufu, he claims they sell really good ones here," he was showing her the chats between him and Gojo, she looked at his phone reading the messages and smiled at the silliness of her sensei. "I kinda want some too now, he has the best sweets recommendations so lets get going," she was determined to go buy this mochi treat since Gojo speaks all high and mighty about it.

As they got to the shop, Y/n's nose felt as it was in heaven. "This is heaven Fushiguro," she commented to him, the boy just simply smiled down at her.

"20 Kikufufu treats please!" Y/n rushed to put her order and the amount of mochis she was getting shocked the lady who was in front of her, regardless, she didn't say anything and just packed them up for her.

"Fushiguro come take a picture with me for my instagram," she dragged the boy by her arm and got under the bus station light, she put her phone near her legs as they sat down and took a pic.

"Send that to me."
