After Y/n's sudden unenrollment from Jujutsu High, things weren't so different.
Well, things weren't different for most people. Megumi not included. His lovesick symptoms worsen by the day. He was severely unmotivated and sleep deprived everyday, his eye bags were very noticeable and Yuji would ask him if everything is okay, knowing he wasn't.
"I'm just figuring things out." Was what he would tell everyone who asked if he was okay. He wasn't lying, he was figuring things out. He was so attached to this one person and now that she is gone he has to adapt to that.
Throughout the many weeks Y/n wasn't at Jujutsu High, the black haired boy got many new hobbies. He particularly liked to crochet now and would occasionally make small plushies and other room decorations.
He worked on himself. Something that he didn't do back then or would not even think of doing.
His fevers, headaches, unmotivated character and overall pain seemed to ease with time. He wasn't loosing his feelings, it was more like he was starting to understand them.
Megumi understood that they both weren't in a position to date. He understood that she needed time. And he understood that one has to put themselves first.
Three months passed and Megumi started looking better. He started appearing more presentable, with nice styled hair and his eyes not tired anymore. He started dressing nicer and going to missions with a healthy mindset. He talked to Gojo more when he asked Megumi how he's doing. Instead of saying "okay" he would give him a whole life update as if he'd never talked to the man before!
Before looking good, Megumi had to feel good about himself and that's how he got to where he was.
Currently, Megumi is sitting in his bed and watching a series in Netflix. His mind would occasionally wander off to think about how life would be if he never said those words to the girl. He quickly shook his head and refocused on the TV. To shove his thoughts of Y/n deep down his mind really hurt him. He couldn't do anything else though.
His phone then rang. Only Gojo or Yuji sometimes called him but the caller ID didn't say their name. Thinking nothing of it he didn't answer and quickly got some text messages.

Never did Megumi think that Yuta would be the one to text him about going out. He was a bit scared when he saw the name Yuta. Nevertheless, he got changed and prepared to go out with his friends, something that he would never think about doing back then but he discovered that it is a great way to take your mind off things.
