Finally another chapter!!! Sorry it took me so long, work has been crazy since the week before Christmas and I barely have time to write 2 paragraphs in a day.
Aemond and Aria talk about her behavior 🫣. Rhaenyra is at a small council meetings when she receives some news. I hope you guys like it. 🥰
Aria Targaryen was not a stupid girl, she had always been very clear about what her position in this life was. She was a Targaryen princess, she belonged to the strongest family in the world. Aria was very aware of all her responsibilities and all the issues that came with being a Targaryen, she just did not care enough about what people thought of the way she acted. Her grandmother had told her that she was just like her mother and grandsire. Aria took that as a compliment, her mother and grandsire were warriors. Her mother was the rider of Karnax, previously known as the Cannibal, she had conquered her first city when she was four and ten. Then there was her grandsire, Daemon Targaryen, who was a legend among men, even after all these years he was still known as the greatest warrior in Westeros. Aria was happy to be like her mother and grandsire, but her grandmother had told her that was not always a good thing.
One of the qualities she had also inherited from her mother and grandsire was their impulsiveness. Aria did not always think things through before she reacted and she did not apologize for it. Aria loved her father and sometimes she wished she could be more like him. Aemond Targaryen was a great warrior and rider of one of the largest dragons in the world. But unlike her mother and grandsire, her father was very methodical and he always had a plan. He made sure to think things through and acted depending on the situation. Things were not always the way people wished and Aria found herself in trouble.
Her father stood in front of her, he appeared to be annoyed with her again. The last time she had been in trouble was due to beating a boy. After finding out the reason why she had done it her punishment had been lifted. Her father and her were always clashing and sometimes she wondered if her father regretted that she was his daughter. Her family did not truly need her, she had two oldest sisters and two younger brothers, and her mother was with child once more. Out of all her siblings, Aria was the one who caused the most trouble. She would not be surprised if her father sent her away, so she would be someone else's problem.
"Aria." Her father let out a tired sigh. "I do not know what to do with you, I have no more words to make you understand how inappropriate your behavior is."
"I said I was sorry." Her fists tightened on the fabric of her gold and purple gown as she attempted to stop the tears from falling.
"You said you were sorry for the disturbance you caused." Her father placed his hands on his hips and shook his head. "But you refused to apologize to the boy you pushed. He fell and cut his leg."
"He deserved it." She crossed her arms over her chest. "He was mean and said horrible things about me."
"And you believe that is a reason to push him?"
"Yes." She frowned at her father. Another thing she had inherited from her mother and grandsire was her stubbornness. Aria did not like admitting when she was wrong, but she hated when she was punished or yelled at for doing the right thing or defending herself. "He called me an incestuous bastard, he was lucky that I did not stab him."
"Aria," Her father kneeled in front of her. "Not everyone is going to like you and most people are going to be jealous of you, because of the family you belong to and the power you yield. You cannot always respond with violence because a lot of people are just waiting for you to fail."
