Rhaenyra is finally feeling a bit better and catches a moment before her brother and Aemma. Visenya and Aemond are trying to get some alone time together, but Aria gets in trouble. I hope you guys like it. 🥰

1 week later.

"I thought you would still be in the chambers." Rhaenyra turned and smiled at her husband. He had been so patient with her and had been beside her the entire time since telling her of Lucerys's death. She was still heartbroken about her son's death, but she had a really good dream about him the night before and felt much better this morning. "I am glad to see you up and about."

"Yes, I just needed some fresh air." Her smile became larger when he kissed her, her hands going around his waist. It felt good to have him so close. "I thought a walk might do me some good."

"I think that is a great idea." Daemon looked relieved and she felt bad for how she had been so absent in the past few weeks. "I will walk with you."

Rhaenyra had spent most of her time in this world locked in her chambers. She had cried so much that it felt like she had run out of tears. She had spoken to the other Rhaenyra and Visenya a few times, but otherwise, she had made sure to stay away from everyone else. Now she wanted to actually see some of the things she had missed. Things looked similar to how the Red Keep looked in her own world, except for the fact that all the Targaryen paintings and tapestries were still adorning the walls. Unlike in her own world where Alicent had replaced everything with images of the seven and the seven-pointed star.

The gardens were still beautiful, and several more flowers had been planted throughout it. Daemon had told her that Rhaenyra had brought some of the flowers from New Valyria and had them planted in the gardens. There was also the sound of laughter and children running and playing. Rhaenyra had missed that sound, Aegon and Viserys were still too small to be running around too much and since they were at war Rhaenyra did not want them too far away.

"Aemond told Visenya what happened with Lucerys." Rhaenyra stopped walking and stared at her husband. She had not expected him to say that.

"I am sure he lied to her and told her some tale of how my son deserved it." Her brother would do anything to make others think he was the victim.

"Actually, he did not give her any excuses." Rhaenyra was even more shocked. "He just told her that he had killed Lucerys, he did not tell her why or how he did it, he just told her he had done it."

"Why?"

"I do not know, they were talking after she found him speaking to Aria and he just told her." Rhaenyra was suspicious, she had seen the way Aemond looked at Visenya. "They did not speak for too long and they have not spoken a lot since then."

"Well, he is a kinslayer." Saying those words did not make her feel better. "What did he expect?"

"I do not think he expected anything." Daemon shrugged as he took her hand and led her down one of the garden paths. "I have also noticed that the other Rhaenyra has been keeping a closer eye on him."

Rhaenyra was not sure what to think about the other version of herself. She could tell the woman was strong, she had created an amazing empire, and as far as she could tell it was peaceful. Her other self was happy and had a beautiful family, she even had grandchildren. With the way things were going in her own world, she was not sure she would live long enough to see her children get married, much less meet her grandchildren.

"Are you well?" Rhaenyra's voice tensed at the voice and she moved quietly, her eyes narrowing when she saw Aemond helping Aemma off the ground. Rhaenyra had to resist the urge to step forward and yank the child away from her murderous brother. "Are you hurt?"
