Aemond finds out what happened to Visenya. Daemon and Rhaenyra have some alone time before being interrupted. I hope you guys like it. 🥰

Aemond had never been able to explore Dragonstone, he had been to the island before, but only spent a few hours. This was the first time he had actually been allowed to walk freely around the castle without having guards following him. He had to admit he liked it, it was peaceful here not as stuffy as the Red Keep and it smelled a lot better too. He was happy to be at his ancestral home, to see the history in this place was an incredible experience.

"Aemond!" He turned, a smile on his face as Helaena threw herself in his arms and hugged him. "I am so happy you are back."

"Thank you, I am happy to see you." Helaena looked different, she looked lighter and more at ease with herself. "You look very well, sister."

"Thank you." The smile did not leave her face. "This is all thanks to you. You are the one who brought me here."

"I wanted you safe." Out of all his family, Helaena was the only innocent one and he was not going to make her pay for his mother and grandsire's mistakes. "Where are the children? I have not seen them yet."

"Jaehaerys is with Jace in the training yard, they spar every morning." His sister's blush made him curious. "Jaehaera is somewhere with Visenya and Maelor is playing with Aegon and Viserys."

"Jace trains with Jaehaerys?"

"Yes," She twisted her hands together. "He was surprised when he realized Jaehaerys was not very advanced with his training so he offered to train him. They get along very well."

"How about the two of you?" Her blush deepened and Aemond stopped himself from smiling. "Do you two get along also?"

"Yes, Jace is very nice." She shook her head. "I know you do not like him and he hates you, but.."

"Helaena," He stopped her rambling with a hand on her shoulder. "The troubles between Jace and I are not your concern. If you like him and want to spend time with him then I am pleased for you, as long as he treats you well."

"I thought you would object." She gave him a questioning look. "We are just friends, well, family. There can be nothing more between us. I am married and I do not want to make him feel bad or like he is not enough."

"You do not have to worry about that. I am sure Rhaenyra will annul your marriage, and even if she does not, you will be free once Aegon is dead."

"Is it not horrible that we are wishing for the death of our brother?" She bit her lip. "That I am wishing for the death of my husband and the father of my children?"

"No, you do not have to feel bad for Aegon." He would not allow his sister to feel guilty, especially after everything their brother had done to her. "He hurt you in several different ways. I should have done more to protect you."

"It was not your doing, Aemond. You were not the one to force me into that situation."

That was one of the things he could not forgive his mother for. Alicent had known what a monster Aegon was and she still forced Helaena to marry him. Even after everything Aegon had done, their mother had done nothing to protect Helaena, she had left her only daughter unprotected and at the mercy of a drunk. Aemond also felt guilty because he should have done something to protect her, even if it meant killing Aegon.

"Our mother will pay for her mistakes soon enough, especially after trying to have Visenya abducted." Aemond's head snapped up at that and his eyes narrowed.
