Daemon talks to Baela about her behavior and realizes what her problem is. Then is coronation time and Rhaenyra makes decisions about Jace and Joffrey's future. Baela has a little encounter with Aemond and Helaena. I hope you guys like it 🥰

"What were you thinking?" Daemon glared at his daughter while she sat and refused to look at him. "You were raised with Jace, he is like your brother. Why would you say such awful things about him and to his mother?"

"I did not say anything that was not true." Baela still would not look at him. "I need a husband who will be worthy of me."

"And you think that a lord will be better for you than Jace?" Daemon let out a sarcastic laugh. "You need a husband who will love you, respect you, and be there for you. A man who will not be intimidated by your strength and the family you belong to. A man who would not use you as a stepping stone. That man is Jace, or it was because there is no way Rhaenyra will allow you to marry him."

"It does not matter what she says," Baela finally looked at him and for the first time he realized how angry she looked, he had never noticed that before. "Why are you always defending her?"

"What in the hell are you talking about?"

"You are always agreeing with her, always defending her." Baela stood up and glared at him. "The way you look at her, act around her like she is your whole world. You never looked at my mother that way. Maybe what grandmother has been saying all this time is true."

"What has your grandmother been telling you?" He should have known better than to allow Baela to stay with Rhaenys. The woman had just poisoned her mind.

"That you never loved my mother, that you just wed her because you could not have the woman you truly wanted." Baela had never asked him about his relationship with Laena. "You never loved my mother, did you?"

"No, I did not." Baela's eyes widened like she had not expected him to tell her the truth. Daemon had never lied to his daughters and he was not going to start now. "I cared for Laena, but I did not love her. I did not lie to your mother, Baela, she always knew the truth."

"That is why you agree with Rhaenyra."

"No Baela, my feelings with Rhaenyra have nothing to do with this." He had always loved all of his children, but Baela had made a mistake that would cost her in the long run. "I wanted you to marry Jace because he is the son of a queen, and believe it or not, Jace will be great. I love Jace, I helped raise him, and because I did I know he would be the best husband for you. It seems that while you were with your grandmother you forgot that I have always done what is best for you and your sister."

Baela crossed her arms over her chest and looked away from him. Daemon let out a sigh and shook his head. "You will not be allowed to return to Driftmark with Rhaenys, from now on you will stay here with us."

"What?" Baela's look was even angrier this time. "You cannot do that, I am supposed to be the next Lady of Driftmark, I need to be with grandmother."

"No, Baela, you need to be with your family, until you learn that we all want what is best for you." Daemon moved to leave the room but stopped before walking out and turned back to his daughter. "If you try to defy me I will lock you in your chambers."

He did not allow her to protest, just walked out of the room. He wanted his daughter to know that his family was her family too and if he had to keep her away from Rhaenys then he would.
