I'm sinking in this
Ship I thought was setting sail
The right directionI thought that you were
Steering it to paradise
That you wanted thisYou mapped it out well
I didn't pay note to the
Traps being laid downPirating my heart
You got Gems and Rudy stones
Booty made of goldMy naïve laughter
Couldn't sense the waves getting
Rougher harder andThere was one life vest
A small boat of safety that
That you and I could fitYou screamed storm ahead
In the small boat before me
All vested up safeWhile I stayed on deck
Thinking that we'd fight it back
To reach the land pointThere was no vest left
There was only drowning and
I couldn't steer thisShip back to harbor
I was too far out to go
Back to the startingPoint and we could have
Redirected to safety
Together but youMay have been afraid
You've had too many journeys
Mates abandoned youSo you did the same
Repeating their mistakes when
I was fully inPrepared to fight back
But I'm navigating it
Alone and confusedWhich direction that
I should go to escape this
Draining route you set
