When it comes to love
There are many forms of it
How do you show itWell I'll give little
Trinkets and let you know what
Made me think of youIt could be simple
Like the moon and the time you
Took a pic of itHow you'd know how to
Take a better picture of
It than I could andI remember small
Details of your interests
So I researched itLearned the best I could
So I could make a card with
A corny pun toLet you know that I
Listen to all your rants and
Use that knowledge toPut a smile on
Your face further down the line
I want to learn yourFavorite foods and I
May not be a cook but I'll
Learn how to make itTry not to be a
Hard critic I'm sensitive
But I did my bestAnd I'd cherish you
From your toes to your head and
What lies inside youI don't need gifts for
You to keep me around or
Fancy dates to stayNot to say that I
Don't appreciate them but
I value our timeWe have together
May it be in a park or
Steep hiking trailAnd I'll get you to
Do face masks with me and wear
Matching outfits andGet silly couple
Bracelets and long distance apps
For when you're not hereHope that's not too much
To ask of you but they make
Me smile feel lovedAnd so do flowers
Dark chocolate's and small picnics
Maybe I'll keep aColorful scrunchy
On the stick shift of your truck
It'll keep you safeI'll keep a photo
Of us in my phone case so
So I won't forget youYou'll find my hair strands
In the oddest of places
You won't forget meAnd I can't help it
My hair is just fine and it
Easily flies offI hope I make you
Feel like you're flying to a
Greater purpose andThat is how I love
And the many forms that make
Me feel like I'm loved
