Kinabukasan, usapan ng mga pinsan ko ang nangyari kagabi. My cousins are mad at Paulo and they're taking me on a hot seat because apparently, I just admitted last night that I like someone else. I'm sure they already know who it is, because Kim kept talking about it since yesterday.

"So you like someone else, huh?" Darren smirked at me. "Since when?"

Hindi ko na mabilang kung ilang beses na akong umirap ngayong umaga. Nagising ako na maingay sa baba, iyon pala, naisipan nilang mag-almusal dito sa bahay para magtsismisan. Sumabay silang mag-almusal sa amin. They were quiet until my parents left.

"I'm sure Paulo was hurt." komento ni Nica.

Jake snorted. "Remember what he just did last night, Nics. Sayang nasa labas kami ni Elena no'n. Kung nando'n ako, hindi na niya inabutan ang umaga."

"I just said he was hurt. Hindi ko siya kinakampihan, dude. Chill." umirap si Nica.

Bumuntong-hininga si Ate. "What he did was very wrong. He harrassed my sister. You boys should evict him."

"He apologized earlier. Paggising ko, tadtad ang group chat ng messages niya. Baste invited him for a game." kuwento ni Kaizen.

"That's not a game, of course. Bubugbugin ko ang gago." si Baste.

"Oh, come on. He was drunk last night." singit ko.

"Mich, he harrassed you." Kim stressed it.

"I know. I'm mad at him but I understand he was drunk that's why he did that. He's not that kind of person."

She shook her head, looking disappointed. "I don't know. You're such a bad judge of character."

"We'll deal with Paulo later. Now, Mich, can you confirm again?" si Jake, may nakakairitang ngisi sa mukha.

Inirapan ko siya. "What?"

"You like someone else? Who?"

Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin. Ngumisi siya. I know he knows who it is!

"You're blushing." tumawa siya.

"And you're okay with it, Jake? You know Rake! Si Rake ang gusto niya!" si Kim.

Pinasadahan ko ng daliri ang aking buhok at bumuntong-hininga. I don't want to argue with her this early in the morning.

"Bakit? Jojowain ba niya?"

"Oh, gosh. You really don't know what's happening. Of all people, you should be the one stopping Mich because you know your friend very well." iritadong sinabi ni Kim.

"Do you really like him, Mich?" nilingon ako ni Ate.

Umiwas ako ng tingin. I slowly drank my hot chocolate.

"What about Paulo? You never liked him?" sunod na tanong niya.

Kim and Jake stopped bickering. Ate Mikee's tone was serious. Naghahanap ng seryosong sagot.

I looked at her. Seryoso niya akong tinignan. I remember the night she asked me that question. If I like Paulo.

"He's a great friend to me." sagot ko. "I like Paulo but not-"

"Not as how much you like Rake." pagtapos niya. "Yeah, I knew it. I know it would eventually be like this. To be honest, I didn't think that you'll like Paulo, anyway."

"That's the problem with you, girls. Hindi n'yo sinasabi ang totoo n'yong nararamdaman. Umaasa tuloy kami." si Darren.

"Wow, coming from you!" Nica couldn't believe what she heard. "Coming from you who's a paasa too!"
