DOVANI CHANCE.
OMNISCIENTMAHATTAN, NY.

REACHING THE APARTMENT BUILDING, Dovani slipped her suitcase out of the backseat. Taking her drivers hand, August as he helped her out the car.
"Thanks Aug, enjoy the rest of your night." She thanked him, flashing a genuine smile.
"Thank you, Ms. Chance. You as well." He headed back towards the front and drove off.
She turned towards the building, the sidewalk a bit crowded but she managed to get to the three-sixty degree doors that spin. As she entered, she looked towards the front desk, seeing one of the sweetest people that worked in the building, Arya.
"Goodnight Arya!" She shouted and waved as she made her way to the elevator.
"Goodnight Dovani!" Arya shouted back.
Waiting for the elevator, she took out her phone and scrolled on social media, being met with love on her recent photos that she took before going on stage, announcing the launch of her new perfume.
The elevator dung, letting it known she was on the penthouse floor. She walked into the dark penthouse, met with a warm smell of vanilla.
She sighed as she flopped on the couch and saw her babysitter, Ciara, scrolling on her phone with her headphones plugged in her head. She gasped as the girl finally noticed her too, yanking her headphones out.
"Ciara! What are you still doing here?" Dovani was confused on why she was still here if Quincy was here, watching after MaKenna.
"Mr. Quincy wasn't here and I put MaKenna to bed but I didn't want to leave once I knew someone was here." She sighed. Of course his ass wasn't here. Like she said, he was never here when she needed him and tonight she needed him to watch her sister so she could go out with her friends before she had to leave for her next show.
She shook her head and pulled out an extra two-hundred dollars from her wallet and hands it to the teenager.
"I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. Tell your mama I'm sorry too. I could've sworn I told him to be home hours ago so we could send you home at a reasonable time." She frowned. The teen looked at her and wrapped her arms around her, causing Dovani to embrace the hug, and return the favor.
"It's okay Ms. D. My mama don't mind. She be sleepin' half the time. Goodnight." Were the girls last words before strolling out of the apartment, taking the elevator down to the lobby.
Dovani got up and realized she had to pack some essentials before riding the plane tomorrow morning. She made her way up the stairs. Stopping by her sisters room, to see if she was asleep. The girl was fast asleep in her Bratz themed room, with the fan blasting on high, in her face.
Dovani laughed to herself. 'Just like her sister.' She thought. She shut the door quietly and made her way to the master bedroom, which was a mess from how she left it earlier this morning trying to pack all her clothes.
"So, this nigga did nothing all day? Bet that." She whispered to herself, shaking her head. At this point, changing the locks, throwing his stuff out and changing her number and blocking him would be honestly convenient for her right now. But, she wanted to give her sister a sight of what some type of love was since she was so very young when their parents went through what they had.
