(small authors note: for my characters, i like to use pre-existing artist for their voices, especially if they are rappers, singers, actors, etc. so if you don't like that, then this is probably not for you.)

DOVANI TRIED TO sweep the encounter with Semaji to the back of her brain for the sake of the show and having more important things to attend to.
Her show was starting soon and she had already got into her sparkly silver outfit. Chicago was one of the littest cities and it's always been on her list to visit. Even if she was just doing one show.
After Chicagos show, she was doing one more show then taking a week break back home, according to her vocal coach, she needed the break if she didn't want to damage her vocal cords and won't be able to preform again. She couldn't help but feel nervous for this show, more than her hometown show.
It was an unexplainable feeling but she just swept it aside as nervous. She stood behind the curtain, waiting for her song to play. Once the song plays, she steps out on stage and begins singing one of her hits off the album.
Feel A Way- H.E.R
She blows a breath, before she puts the microphone up to her mouth, listening and following the loud music that plays in her ear.
Flying through the lyrics with flying colors, the crowd enjoying every second of it. Pausing throughout parts of the song to hear the crowd sing is almost unreal. She never thought in two years she would be preforming in sold out arenas to songs she'd been working on since she was nineteen.
Reaching down in the crowd, touching some of her fans hands as she sung her song. The song was based on her relationship with her current boyfriend. The arguments, the going to sleep mad, the coming home late at night/ early in the morning. She honestly needed something a little bit more relatable , that related to what she had been through.
She felt this song a little harder than usual because it was how the current situation with Quincy made her feel. Made her feel away. Closing the song with the ending chorus, the instrumental faded out and the crowd cheered louder. It made he feel good inside, made her feel good that she finally made it.

After her preformances, she went back stage and fixed up her makeup for the ones that had purchased the backstage passes. During the twenty minutes, plenty of families with younger daughters came and told Dovani how they inspired to be her when they got older.
"Well, I wouldn't say be me. Be a better version of yourself. Don't let the world tell you who you are. My little secret is," She lower down to the little girl with her sparkly makeup and whispered in her ear.
"They not ready for what you got to bring." Smiling and giving the girl a small wink as the girl smiled really big and walked out the room, her mother turning back and saying thank you.
"That was the last of them, ready to head out?" Riah asked as Dovani packed up her makeup and turned off the lights of the vanity she used. She was so tired and just ready to rest for a couple days but she knew that random duo song she signed up for was going to mess it up. Especially, the person she had to work with was someone she truly dispised at this point.
"Let's go." They walked out the arena while the other team cleaning up the stage before leaving as well. She got down to the street and saw the car waiting for them. August stood and opened the door. Riah going in first and Dovani following.
"Great show today, D." Riah smiled as she tapped away on her phone.
"Thanks." She gave a smile, taking a couple sips of her water bottle.
"I saw you getting a little emotional up there singing Feel A Way. What was that about?"
She sighed. "It was nothing, it's just one of my favorites from the album."
"Is it Quincy, D? Be honest."
"No, no. Me and Q are good." She lied. She didn't want nobody that wasn't Dovani and Quincy in her business. If she got too close and told someone, you know that shit would be all over the blogs. Reporters and Journalists would eat it up.
"You better not be lyin' to me, Dovani. You know I don't play about you. Quincy can catch these hands if he putting them on you."
"Ri, me and Q are fine. Ain't nothin' to worry about. Swear." She laughed as she applied lipgloss on her lips.
"Mhm." She went back to tapping on her phone. She sighed in relief. She didn't like body on her back and was grateful that Riah trusted Dovani's word so much.
She wasn't sure if this was going to end in a tragedy or fix like a miracle but she knew she needed to get out, one way or the other. With nobody's help because nobody can be trusted.
