Three long days later.
THAT'S HOW LONG Dovani had been in the hospital under surveillance since showing up to Semaji's hotel room. She was still very much shaken up and beating herself down. It was clear to anyone and everyone that her mental state was nonexistent.
Semaji stayed with her the entire time. Retrieving her little sister from the house the minute that she told him that she was a bad sister for leaving her in there with that monster. MaKenna wasn't hurt in any way, she was in her room the entire time and had locked her door just in case Quincy tried some bullshit again.
Semaji had done a wonderful job fulfilling her needs while she was stuck in the hospital. She honestly didn't need to be here but she was hysterical and in shock and the friends had no other choice but to take to her to the private hospital a couple of minutes away.
Dovani had no appetite for anything but you know Semaji was shoving something down her throat every couple of hours.
From soups to pizzas, Semaji was finding any food that would make her want to eat but she wasn't budging. The incident left an impact on her and how she moved forward. Laying in the bed, she just stared out the window.
"Dove." Semaji called behind her, it was getting really close to Christmas and she still wasn't even close to being let out of the hospital. If she continued to mope around like she was, they would have to diagnose her with depression and put her under psychiatric watch.
"Yes, Semaji?" She sighed, continued to look at the rain fall outside, the wind blowing the trees every way but loose.
"You got a visitor, mama." She turned her head to be met by her little sister, that was staying with Steven and Miara for the time being.
Until she could get back on her feet. She wasn't up for putting her sister into foster care. She knew what it was like being in the system and she didn't want that for her sister. Let alone when she had people she could stay with.
"Vani!" Her sister lept into her arms, feeling the tight embrace of the hug. She hasn't seen her sister since that morning and it was a relief to see her alive and well.
"Hi Kenna." She cooed. She knew MaKenna hated baby talk towards her but it's a reflex, she had to.
"When are you coming home? I know you don't like being in here and I miss you." She asked. She didn't know when she was going home either.
"I don't know, Ken. It may be awhile." She said truthfully. But to be completely honest, she didn't know if she was ever gonna go home.
"But, Uncle S and Auntie Mimi treating you okay?" She nodded slowly.
"Yeah.. but they aren't you. I miss our sister - sister saturdays!" The young girl began to get emotional. MaKenna needed a schedule to function a little bit. Not having something to go by day to day, threw her off a little.
