A deafening loudness that rung in my ears
The flaring arms that made me flinch
I watch as spit flies out
Overemphasizing each word, syllable, and sound
Although I'm an adult
My feet were glued to the ground
I wasn't running but I was out of breath
I did not feel emotions but tears dripped down my cheeks
Although I'm an adult
I was 10 years old again
