I look at them,
The light glowing in their eyes
I think of my own,
The light in my eyes drains
I look away
But I'm drawn back by their hug
I look at my own,
And my eyes want to move away
I watch them,
The laughter echoing in my mind.
I picture my own,
And the laughter dies
Their hearts, as warm as day
Whereas mine, is caged in winter
It yearning for something it can't have
A comforting touch, that of a family member
