Jealous

7 1 1

I look at them,

The light glowing in their eyes

I think of my own,

The light in my eyes drains

I look away

But I'm drawn back by their hug

I look at my own,

And my eyes want to move away

I watch them,

The laughter echoing in my mind.

I picture my own,

And the laughter dies

Their hearts, as warm as day

Whereas mine, is caged in winter

It yearning for something it can't have

A comforting touch, that of a family member
