FLASHBACK PART 2

Third Person's PoV

"I told you to do your best, didn't I?!" A shout lingered in the room.

The little girl, age of 6 couldn't look up and continued looking at the ground.

It's always been like this, nothing new. A single mistake on the questionnaires she's been given weekly to evaluate the lessons she gets after the session with her private tutor.

Yes, she's being homeschooled.

She's not even allowed to go outside the house. It's quite big for a normal one but she don't even know what it looks like from the outside.

She once tried to go out, when Roberto wasn't home. But to her dismay, the moment she stepped outside, she was met by the man who beat the shit out of her. He didn't stop until her little lips bled with multiple bruises on her body.

Now, she's once again on the similar situation.

After all, she didn't meet his expectations. She made this single mistake she had a hard time computing for the answer.

"Wala kang ginagawa kung hindi mag-aral mula umaga hanggang paglubog ng araw, pero simpleng tanong hindi mo masagot ng ayos?!" He said, gritting his teeth in silent fury.

Roberto is surely a genius. Someone with a high IQ. So, it's not new as when he was at her age, he can do compute this much difficult topic.

Now, he's trying to do the same thing to the little girl.

He's trying to turn her into a monster that he currently is.

Someone with as cold demeanor as he is and as stone-hearted as he is.

That's the plan. Then, he will use her against her own family, to destroy and take everything they have when the right time comes.

"Listen here, young lady." He grabbed her cheeks too harshly from her liking. She felt pain but didn't show any sign of hurt in her face. That's what she "trained" for, as she calls it.

"There will be no food for you, not until you figure out how to do this damn problem. Do you understand?"

She nodded, looking directly to his eyes.

"I want words."

"Yes, sir." She said, barely come out as a whisper.

He let her go when he was satisfied to her answer and went out like he usually do after he checked on her.

There's this kind-hearted old lady that serves as her babysitter. That woman made her feel what it feels like to be a kid. But it didn't last as when she turned 4, Roberto fired the woman in order for the little girl to learn how to be independent in such a young age.

Guess she won't be having a dinner tonight.

She went to her bed. Sat down and bring out the locket necklace, a gift from her former babysitter. From her Nanay.

She was told that if she wasn't there to comfort her, to wipe her tears for her, she just have to look at the locket and cry her heart out until it hurts no more.

She can and will always be a kid when she's with her. But now that she's alone, the necklace is her only solace.

She cried her heart out. Her little whimpers as she covers her mouth, afraid that Roberto might come back and see her this vulnerable which he hates the most.
