FLASHBACK
Third Person's PoV
A woman currently waiting for her time to finally deliver her two baby girls they've been expecting to meet within a few hours. A man beside her who made this possible, continuously planting soft kisses on her hand that he has been holding, whispering sweet nothings to ease the pain she's been feeling caused by continuous contractions.
"Robert.." She called, stopping the man wearing a white coat on his tracks. Slowly turned around to the person who called him.
He hummed while wearing a tight smile, wishing she wouldn't notice.
"Thank you.." A tear finally escaped her eyes while genuinely saying the two words she has been wanting to say for a long time now.
The man near the door couldn't find the right words to say, different emotions starting to surge but doing his best not to show it in front of the couple, in front of the person he hadn't moved on from even after all these years.
"You're welcome... I'll be back in a few hours to check on you." He finally uttered. Still wearing the same smile that immediately left his face as soon as he nodded to the couple inside the room, excusing himself.
Seeing that there's no one on the hallway, he took it as a chance to lean on the nearest wall, controlling his breath as he calm himself.
A pinch on his heart which is not new to him. Sure, he's new to this kind of feeling. Growing with no one to lean on, with no one by his side in the lowest point of his life. Not until he met a woman who became the reason why he sometimes caught himself on the mirror, wearing strange expressions, feeling strange emotions that he has never felt all his life.
The woman became his support system, gave him the urge to change himself for the better, to do everything to be deserving of her love when he finally confess his love towards her.
The reason why he's currently standing on the place where he is as of the moment. Gave him the reason to work hard on the field where he is right now. Given the fact that the woman came from a family of doctors. Tried his best to gain her parents' favor.
That's when everything suddenly came back to him.

By the time he came back from overseas where he completed his studies, excitingly waited for the woman on her family's house to surprise her, with the dinner he personally cooked as he knows that it was her favorite.
Fidgeting on his seat as he was informed that the woman knows about the marriage he and her family arranged for the two of them.
Wearing the smile the woman said she loved to see.
Everything was going well, not until he saw the love of his life walking inside the house.. hand-in-hand with a man he has never seen before nor familiar to him.
The smile he has been waiting to see on the woman's face wasn't there as she walked angrily near the table where everyone was.
The hard expression she has been wearing soften a bit when she saw him sitting on the table. She quickly averted her gaze to her parents who has been wearing the same expression when they saw the woman with the unfamiliar man beside her.
"What do you think you're doing, Amelia?" Her father mirrored the glare she has been throwing towards her parents.
"No, dad. What do YOU think you're doing?" The man beside her caressed her back, calming her down. He almost want to stand up and pushed the man away from the woman he loved.
