Kaeden's POV
Alright. Tonight's a party. And my ability to act drunk is good enough seeing as I can't actually get drunk. Maybe a little tipsy. But not drunk.
While I'll be over there to hang out and mingle with the people, I'm also going to be keeping an eye out for anything weird. Cause I'm told that an animal killed two people. But I find that hard to believe. Considering animals attack people if they're provoked. Or maybe it was a mountain lion. I did read somewhere that sometimes they will attack humans if they're near their cubs.
But again, I ain't too sure about that. I have this strange ass feeling that something else is out there.
Anyways, I get ready for the party and I head downstairs and I see my mom getting ready to head to the hospital. "Mom? You're going back?"
"Yeah, my patient's surgery just got moved up." She looks at me dressed for the party. "Normally I say don't come home drunk, but given what you are, I'd say don't kill or fight anyone and don't let them see you for what you really are."
"Relax, mom. I'm just gonna mingle, drink and keep Tyler's drunk ass from sticking his dick into any girl that doesn't want him. Let alone getting into any physical confrontation."
"You're not his keeper, you know?" Yes mom, I know, but he's my best friend and he would do the same for me.
"Yes ma, I know. But somebody needs to keep him out of trouble."
"Okay then. Oh and don't be out too long. If an animal did kill those couple, there's a good chance it will strike again."'
"Mom, I'm part Lycan, remember? I'm basically on the top of the food chain. Anyways, love you."

Well, I'm here. And already most students reek of beer and what not. Or some are high and some may have thrown up already. Damn, it kinda sucks to have wolf senses. Sometimes.
The woods also reek of sex. Looks like some people are planning to lose their virginity tonight.
But in the meantime, I'll have as much as fun as I can. And make sure Tyler's drunkenness will not get him a record that spells "sexual assault" because that dude doesn't take no for an answer easily when he's drunk.
I can see Stefan. His scent is... odd. Like not human. Certainly not a werewolf or lycan. Or even both for that matter.
