At the Lockwood Mansion, it's night time, and Kaeden met with Tyler and Mason to discuss a few things.
"Hey. Um, thank you. I know I kinda provoked things but..."
"You don't need to thank me, Mason." Kaeden cut him off. "You don't need to worry about Damon or Stefan. They know their place now. But I wouldn't hold my breathe. Cause it's only a matter of time before they figure out that you've been looking for the moonstone and giving it to Katherine."
Mason looks at the white moonstone that Tyler gave him. "I guess I shouldn't give it to her."
"No. You will." Which surprised Mason before Kaeden continued. "You're going to go undercover. And you're gonna try and find out what Katherine wants the moonstone for. If she can't give you anymore then that, don't push it. And then, come back to me, we fake your death and head straight back into The Emerald Coast."
"You sure that's smart? Katherine knows where I live. If she finds out that I..."
"Don't worry about that. As long as the fear of me is fresh in her, she'd think twice before coming after you." Kaeden assured him. "Look, Tyler just buried his dad. He may have been dick, but... having you around could be good for him."
Mason understands that. He was told by Tyler that Kaeden was the one helping him manage his anger. He admits that maybe being around Tyler would teach him to be better.
"Alright. I'll do it. I already have the moonstone in my hands. Might as well give it to her."
"That's would be best."
Once Kaeden left, he headed back home. A quick sniff around to make sure he's not being watched by Katherine. Hopefully she will tell Mason what they want to know, if not, then Kaeden will send Mason home and quickly.

Damon hears someone knocking on the door, and he answers it. It's Jeremy. "I need to talk to you."
"And why do I need to talk to you?" Damon tries to close the door on him. But Jeremy pushes it back open.
"Tyler Lockwood has to kill someone to activate his curse. He's not a werewolf yet."
Damon pretends to thinks about it. "Wow, fascinating. Not enough." Damon attempts to close the door again, but Jeremy pushes back again.
"But Mason Lockwood is and he's looking for a moonstone, a special rock connected to the werewolf legend. That's why he's here."
