That night, Kamila came home and as perusal, her bones ache. She wished she didn't have to always go through this. She wished she was like her husband or son. Being able to control her transformations. But she can't.

She heads to the fridge in the kitchen to grab a cold water bottle. But she also sees Kaeden in the kitchen. Also grabbing a water bottle. Two in fact. One glance at his mom and he knew. So he threw her one. "Is that for you?"

"No. For Tyler." He replied.

"I thought I smelled him here." Kamila noted when she entered the house. "Is he drunk?"

"The smell of alcohol and puke gave it away?" Asked Kaeden.

"Pretty much." Kamila replied snickering.

"He's sleeping it off, mom."

"Then I'll make three breakfast meals for us all." Kamila started to make her way upstairs but stood for a moment before facing her only son. "You Kaeden, no matter how hard you try, Tyler will eventually end up killing someone and when he does, he'll need your help. Your Uncle Khalil thought he could avoid that too, but he thought wrong."

"You never talked about him, mom." Kaeden noted. He barely remembers much about his uncle. He hadn't seen him since he was 13. He was a biologist. Had a witch for a girlfriend and they studied not only natural stuff, but supernatural ones. Khalil had never seen a werewolf/Lycan hybrid before and wanted to test a theory. Though what that theory was is anyone's guess.

"Yeah. Sometimes I just wish he was here, you know? He would always tell me to embrace my werewolf side. And to not think of it as a curse but rather a gift. Because every night of the full moon, we're not people with jobs and responsibilities. We're animals that run wild and free." Kamila reminisced about her brother.

"How did he die, mom?" Kaeden was never told how his uncle died. It was painful for her to talk about it. As both her and Keelin loved him so much.

"I-I prefer not to talk about my brother, sweetheart. Another time. I promise." Kaeden nodded as he understood and backed off of the subject.

"Imma head to bed, mom. Good night." He kisses her in the cheek and heads to his room.

Kamila looks at a photo of her, Keelin and Khalil. All of them together. Brother and sisters. She hasn't talked to Keelin in over a year. She should call her.

After Kaeden and Tyler had breakfast, they left for school, with Matt greeting them and all. He apologized to Tyler and Kaeden for his mom's behaviour.

Kelly has left the house, and now it's just Matt.

As for Kaeden, he enters the classroom of Alaric Saltzmen. He sits down where Stefan and Elena are. He smelt blood from the former. From his breath that is. Though he doesn't comment on it.
