Today was Kaeden's birthday. He's now eighteen years old. He's not sure if he should just have a party. Cause last time, on his seventeenth birthday, they all sneaked out to Duke's birthday and they were all wasted. Even Kaeden. Noe the part where he said he can't get drunk is only partially true. In truth, if he drinks maybe six vodkas, white wine or beers (a full bottle) and he can. And let's just say he preformed incredible acrobatic feats. Feats that are impossible for any human to preform. Luckily however, people thought they were drunk and barely remember anything. And although the party was a blast, it was very irresponsible of Kaeden because he could have exposed his true nature.
Either way, he plans to make sure his mind isn't altered too much.
So Kaeden's puts on his clothes and heads to school.
But before he does, his phone rings and he answers it. "Hello?"
"Hey big man." It's his dad.
"Hey, dad. How've you been?" Kaeden asked.
"You know me, I'm doing alright. Happy Birthday. I can't believe I'm missing your eighteenth birthday. I should've said no." Kaeden knows that. He too wished his dad said no. That his Marine days were over and he has a son he needs to be with. "But I got some good news for you. Two actually. One. I'll be coming home on July 1st. Second, my old man "past away" and my older brother, Wallace is head of the family now. And he wants to meet you. The whole Chadwick Family wants to meet you." Kaeden couldn't believe he's going to meet the rest of his paternal family. He wonders what they're really like.
"That's... that's great, dad. I can't wait for you to come home. I miss you."
"I miss you too, man. Oh and one more thing. I figured you'd be having a party. And I mean a big party. So I just so happen to know that your mom will be working late, which will give you the time to have your big party. Just make sure no one gets too drunk and make sure the house is clean before your mom gets back." 'Damn dad. How do you know mom's schedule?' "Anyways I gotta go, man. Have a good birthday and I will see you soon."
"Ok, dad. I love you."
"Love you you too, big man." They hang up and Kaeden heads downstairs. Where her mom gives him a hug. "Morning mom."
"Morning baby. Happy birthday." The two hugged for about a few seconds before they broke apart. "I wired $500.00 into your account and I heard. Normally I would say no. Because I don't want anyone knowing our secret. But... you haven't done anything to warrant my distrust. And considering it's your birthday and that I'm going to be working late again," Kamila rolls her eyes, "you can have a party here. But this house better be clean by the time I get back."
