Chapter 27

"Yes. Load the cannon." Garmadon commanded. General Kozu walked down the place. "Finally, my darkest dream will now become reality." Garmadon's hand was above a red button. He was ready to push it when Lloyd yelled "Father, don't!" "Lloyd!" Garmadon responded... kinda. The Not-so-Dark Lord walked to the side of the Garmatron. "What are you doing? Push the button!" At this point, the Overlord sounds a little like Chen. Garmadon faced his family. "So, the balance has sent my son, my brother, and wife to try to stop me? It looks like my little surprises have kept the Ninja busy." Garmadon said. "Don't do it." Misako uh.. warned.

"If you alter the balance, it will allow the Overlord to cross over." she said. "The balance will be destroyed, and we will all pay dearly." Wu said. "Don't listen to them. They betrayed you." the Overlord said. "I don't wanna fight you, but I will if I have to." The Green Ninja said, "This is about more than just us. This is about what is right." Lloyd felt the voice in his head huff in agreement. "Don't you see? I will never do what is right. The evil in my blood can never go away. It has corrupted every ounce of my fiber, every bone in my body." Garmadon said.

"I am Lord Garmadon. Destiny took my family from me, and the only way for us to be together is to turn everything in this world into my image. Then you'll all see what I see, feel what I feel." "Is it the Great Devourer or is it your own choice?" Lloyd's voice turned... deeper. He flipped off his hood. Wu gasped. "What?" Garmadon looked at his son. "Evil flowed through your body. Fine. But that is no excuse to do all of this. Garmadon never wanted to turn evil, you let evil in your body. The bite simply got you to the doors, but you were the one who wanted to become more evil. You walked in them in your own consciousness. You're the one who wanted this all to happen!"

Lloyd's robes started to turn into a darker shade of green. The golden lines turned silver. His blond hair turned black. Garmadon stared at the Green Ninja. He sighed. "Then it is my own choice. You've made your decision, and I have made mine." He marched towards the button. Lloyd turned back to normal and collapsed. Misako helped him up. Lloyd looked up. "Nooo!" he ran forwards. His father pushed the button. "Garmatron warming up." the machine said, "In T-minus..." "Warming up?! You could've warned me it had to warm up!" Garmadon exclaimed.

"How could I? You were monologuing." the Overlord said. "Sixteen..." the computer said. "We have to get to the top and shut it off." Lloyd said. "Stop them!" Garmadon commanded. The Stone Army advanced on them. Garmatron's firing system lit up and shot some lasers out of it. Misako used her tube scroll container and deflected the lasers. "Go." she told Lloyd. "Ten... Nine.." Lloyd charged and jumped, launching himself up to the platform, front-flipping in process. "Come on, come on.." his father muttered. "Seven.." the computer said. "No!" Garmadon exclaimed. "Six, five..." Lloyd stood up and pushed Garmadon, with the Dark Lord doing the same.

"Three.." Kozu pushed Lloyd back. "Got you!" he said. "...two..." Garmadon grinned. "one." The first giant bullet of darkness shot through the sky. "No!" Misako exclaimed. "We are losing." Lloyd said. "Hahah. I... win!" Garmadon smiled. They looked up as the giant bullet flew away.

In a village, eerie dark purple smoke flew everywhere. The villagers literally ran in circles and the ones that are hit's skins turned gray and eyes turned large and purple. Just like Nya. The village turned gray with corrupted villagers. Garmadon laughed. "Again!" the Overlord commanded. "Again!" Garmadon exclaimed. The Stone warriors loaded another giant bullet.

On top of the platform where Garmadon was standing, Lloyd struggled from Kozu hold. "The balance is shifting." Misako said."Lloyd, you must focus and put a stop to this!" Wu called. Lloyd closed his eyes and focused, green light appeared in his hands. Soon, there was a big green beam of Energy surrounding him. The Green Ninja was about to break free of the General's hold when Garmadon pushed a lever and the two of them fell down.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh!" Lloyd yelled, tumbling down the machine. "You think you can stop me?!" Garmadon asked, then pushed the red button again. Another bullet of darkness shot through the sky. "Our worst fears." Wu looked down.

Back behind them, the four ninja and Nya were still fighting. Corrupted Nya held her spikey-ball chain thing with Cole tied up to a rock above. "This is not good!" he exclaimed. Kai and Jay are on the ground. "We have to help them!" Kai said. "Tell that to your sister! It's four against one. I think she's winning!" Cole shouted. Zane was behind a tree root. "Perhaps we can use our Elemental powers, but without hurting her?" Zane suggested.

Zane ran and shot the chain into two. "I like it. Let's do it!" Cole said. The four stood together. Nya shot some kind of spiky things towards them. Jay leaned to the ground and made a blue bubble of shield which sent them flying away. "Cole, can you blind her for a sssec?" Jay asked. "Thanks to you, sure thing." the Earth Ninja replied, sticking his Elemental blade in the Earth which sent a wave of dirt and blinded Nya.

"My eyes! I can't see!" she yelled. "Kai, quick! Cut that tree!" Jay said. "No problem." He shot down a tree which was about to land on Nya. "I know where you're heading." Zane said, shooting ice to trap Nya in the half-tree. She growled. "Sorry, sis. This club just became boys only." Kai said. They ran towards where the real battle should be.

In Jamanakai Village, the big purple missile exploded and did the same to the other village.

The Overlord laughed. "I tried." Lloyd said. "I know." Wu said. "It is done. the balance has shifted." Misako informed. "Stop laughing now! This is my victory! What's happening?" Garmadon demanded. "You've helped offset the balance. Because of you, I can now cross over to your world! I'm finally free!" the Overlord said.
