Ninjago Fanfic: The Lightning Serpentine

Chapter 23

–Ninja–

The Ninja drilled down the earth. "Don't just stand there, get them!" Garmadon bellowed. The warriors started jumping in the hole. "You fool! You let them get away with the helmet? Don't you realize if they put it on, they will control the army?" The Overlord said. "I'll see to it personally. It's my turn." The Dark Lord replied.

The Ninja kept drilling, and the warriors weren't far behind. "Heh. Cool hat." Jay said, then put the helmet on. "I wonder if it'll make me look more menacccing." "Is that really wise? If that helmet turns you evil, we're kicking you out." Nya said. Not like he wasn't turned evil before. "Uh, is that possible? Eh, it's probably got Garmadon cooties anyway." Jay took it off.

Over the radio thingie, Wu asked, "Did we get the helmet?" "We did, and we're all accounted for." Nya said. "Then let's rendezvous at the clock." Wu instructed. "It'ss so dark in here!" Jay said, then started to hit the buttons on his left. "Eh, one of these have got to be a light switch."

Suddenly, a stone warrior jumped on the Earth Driller. "Aaah!" the Ninja of Lightning yelled. Kai looked at it in horror, "Uh, sis? Can we go any faster?" he asked. "We're going as fast as we can!" she replied, showing a worrisome expression. Behind them, General Kozu growled in his vehicle.

"We're definitely not going fast enough." Cole said. Kozu's vehicle bumped the Ninja's, he laughed and everyone in the Earth Driller screamed. "Okay." Nya hit the speed stuff, and they went speeding. Finally. Now it was the warrior who jumped on the driller's turn to scream.

Finally, the car drilled onto dry land, the warriors' vehicles not far behind. Jay was looking behind his seat, and the car sped on more. "We're lossssing them!" he announced. "Whoo hoo!" "Excellent!" "Awesome." are the ninja's reactions.

Then, a big big mech started gaining on them. "Uh, oops." said Zane. "You won't get away from me again, Misako." Garmadon said in the mech. "Hang on!" Nya's expression turned into fear. They sped through bamboos, which seemed to slow down Garmadon, but he was still going fast.

Nya turned, receiving a bunch of "Whoa!"s then turned again. "Have we lost him?" she asked. "Not quite!" her brother responded. "Wha-hahahahahahaha!" Garmadon picked the car up from the ground. "Aaaaaaah!" the Ninja screamed as Garmadon shook them, literally. Nya was flying around while Jay and Kai were bumping each other while flying around.

Garmadon started to throw the Earth Driller, and did it. BOOM! The car crashed and rolled on the ground. "Unh! It's stuck!" Nya tried to break the window and go outside. Garmadon picked the vehicle up again and they screamed all over once again. "I think I'm gonna be sick!" Cole said, maybe he shouldn't have eaten all the cake he did yesterday...

"I finally have you Ninja in the palm of my hand!" Garmadon said, holding them like a pen. "Hahahahahahahahahaha!" he laughed.

–Jay–

The Serpentine shivered, his tail wiggling, what'll he do? He can't go out, or... Wait, the controls are probably jammed, and now that he has his elemental blade... "Nya, I'll climb to the front. Let's fix this thing." he said.

"Let them go!" they heard Lloyd yell, a streak of Energy hit Garmadon's big mech, it flew away and they landed on a fallen tree. Nice, now he just gotta... Jay stabbed into the controls, wires sparkled. "What are you doing?" Nya asked, alarmed. "Fixing thisss thing." he muttered, staring at the wires.

The wires are clearly broken, so that's why it wouldn't work. Just need to connect them together and get it back in shape. The Lightning Ninja looked around, at least first get some fresh air. Carefully, Jay put the wires together, Nya pressed the button and the window thing opened.

Outside, Lloyd huffed and walked towards Garmadon. "Lloyd, be careful!" Nya called. He looked at her then looked at his father, who walked out of his fallen mech. The great Dark Lord looked vulnerable, he was holding his hand.

This connecting into this... No tape? Nah, they've got a master of Lightning, Ice, Fire, and Earth here, and their powers will come in handy. First, Jay can electrify the little wire lines together, then, Zane will freeze it, making hold. After that, Cole would produce some hard rock on it for Kai to fire the inside so it'll stick. One last step, fixing the smashed controls... that'll take a while.

Lloyd took a little step forward, staring at his father. "Holy cannoli, Lloyd and Garmadon in a face off!" Cole exclaimed. Jay was still electrifying the controls together. "Take the shot, Lloyd!" Kai yelled. "He's vulnerable!" Cole added. "Do not hesitate!" Zane called. They walked into fighting distance.

"Strike now!" Kai said, and the Green Ninja looked back again. Garmadon was coughing from the smoke. Lloyd maintained his stare, "I'm sorry, Father. You leave me no choice." His voice sounded deep, like a grown-up. "It is our destiny." he said. Lloyd started to create an energy ball out of his hands, it became bigger and bigger.

But then he looked at his father in his vulnerable state, no, he can't do it. Lloyd stopped his powers. In the car, Kai kinda facepalmed. "No! What is he doing?" he asked. "They're coming." Misako said, pointing to the late warriors. Lloyd looked at his father, who laughed. "Lloyd, we need to move!" his mother called. "The clock is not too far from here. Jay, are you finished?" Nya asked.

The Serpentine wanted to say yes, but he's kinda busy right now. "Ugh, Zane, freeze this!" he said, and he got his solution. "Okay!" Lloyd said. Nya drove the car on the ground. "Better hop in, Lloyd." she said. "Go!" he yelled after he was in. Thanks to Jay, the controls worked perfectly.

The Ninja drilled into the Earth again, and Garmadon, who was behind them with all the warriors, panted somehow.
