Flashback

Knuckles turns around as shadow approaches. "Knuckles I have away for you to check on your father... wait where did you get that?" Shadow points to the mirror. "Oh when I got this bracelet for Mrs. Avery, the man gave me it why?" Knuckles said. "Strange.... How did he get that.... I thought it was gone. Anyways you can use that mirror. Just tell it who you wish to see." Shadow said and knuckles rose a brow before picking up. "Umm I like to see my father" he said and the mirror glows blue. He sees his father sitting at the table downing another glass of scotch. Knuckles sees the worry and depression in his father's eyes as well as shadow making him know what he was about to do would make everything right and earn knuckles friendship even more. "I think you should go and see him...." Shadow said and knuckles turns to look at him. "What? But the curse... I promised you sh—" "I think your father needs you more and to know you're alright." Shadow said and unknown to them both this won knuckles heart. "Thank you I'll be back in a weak shadow" knuckles smiled and hugs him before rushing to his room.

Now
"Knuvkles how did you escape?! And you're well taken care of...." Locke said amazed seeing his son looking happy, fed, and unharmed. "You might want to sit down father and Manson I got so much to tell you both." Knuckles smiled. "For starters I didn't escape he let me go but I promised him I'd be back in a week to help him reverse the curse." Knuckles said smiling genuinely yet his father sees something in his son's eyes. Knuckles starts telling them everything from when they meet years ago to the curse. As knuckles spoke his father saw love forming in Knuckles's eyes and how he smiles saying shadows name. "He's fallen in love with the prince and doesn't even know it" Locke smiled. Manson noticed it too but was more extremely jealous on how much of a wealthy knuckles has been living. How shadow hadn't done away with him. As knuckles continued to talk about shadow Manson gets an awful idea. "He promised him a week I just need to manipulate him to stay longer. If I do maybe the beast would eat him."

Mrs. Avery sighs unlocking the library door for the day. She missed Knuckles walking in and wish she was strong enough to help Locke. She sat at her chair and writes in her log book when the bell rang. She looks up to greet the visitor then her heart leaped for joy. "KNUCKLES!" She walks fast to him and he walks fast to her. The two embrace and she starts crying. "You're ok thank the stars!" She said. "Close the library Mrs. Avery I got so much to tell you." He said and she did just that. Once they sat down he gave her the bracelet and of course she loved it. He started to tell her all the things he saw and about how his feet felt the ocean. He pulled out the conch shell letting her hear the ocean. Seeing him well taken care of and happy made her think that the beast wasn't bad. Especially after he told her everything that happened with Shadow. Just like Locke, she too saw the love in knuckles eyes knowing that he was in love with shadow. Once he expel the curse the two looked around in the library. Shadow smiles seeing knuckles so happy and still looking for way to end the curse. "You really think he'll find a way to reverse it?" Amy asked. Shadow looks at her and she sees the love in his eyes for knuckles.
