Felix walks out of his workplace exhausted like he's worked for a thousand hours when that wasn't even remotely true. His back is aching, his legs don't want to walk any further, his shoulders aren't capable of remaining square anymore and his—you get the memo. But it wasn't work that had caused this exhaustion, it was the events of last night that made him so tired, three rounds weren't an easy maneuver to commit in a series of a few hours, but still, he didn't regret it even an ounce.
A sigh withers his lips as he thinks about what had gone down last night alongside a shade of red on his cheeks and the tips, like always, Hyunjin had taken more care of him than he needed to and Felix fell asleep before he would like to and he found himself all alone in the room in the morning. The blue-haired licks his lips and groans, finding the path in front of him dampened with rain that falls rapidly and halts him in his moves. He just wanted to be home, take a warm bath, and watch a fun movie
But now the universe is taking its anger out on him because it knows he doesn't have his phone on him and can't call a cab, knows that he was going to take a bus and now he doesn't even have an umbrella! Felix curses at himself for the hundredth time this day for forgetting his phone lord knows where he had left it, his place? the bar? only heaven knows. And because of his stupidity, he has to either walk in the rain or wait for it to be over, we all know it has to be the first one because nature doesn't give a notice--more like it kind of does but Felix never checks the weather.
So pursing his lips, he raises a reluctant foot to step outside the threshold of his workplace and onto the steps where the rain falls like it's coming straight from heaven. Yet, before his shoe can meet the pavement, a large tattooed hand grips his arm and pulls him backward, into the safety and dryness of his workplace's building and into a warm muscled chest.
His eyes widen just the slightest and a small gasp runs past his lips as he stumbles into whoever had pulled him backward in such a rushed manner. Before anger can rise within him and he can fist his hand into a punch (he would never, he's only exaggerating) his eyes meet with cocky brown ones, they're round and deep and Felix immediately recognizes them, glad that he hadn't acted out of impulse and said something mean. The blue-haired steadies himself on his feet, his hand that arbitrarily landed on the other person's chest slides down slightly but remains in its place as Felix lets out a soft and awkward chuckle
"Mister Jeon"
It's a greeting, an acknowledgment of his boss as he shifts on his feet to step away from the man but he's holding him tightly and there's only so much Felix can do without appearing rude or crass in front of his boss. He raises his brows, trying to ask the man what he's waiting for considering how the taller wasn't speaking or doing anything and just standing there, gazing back into Felix's eyes
"Hello, Felix"
He speaks, at last, his voice smooth and honey-like. Felix's eyes crinkle at the edges when he smiles genuinely this time, with no forcing or awkwardness. "Hello, Sir" on sheer instinct, Felix greets back, their bodies still as close as they were earlier and none of them seems to be making a move to pull away "I've told you a thousand times, freckles, Jungkook is just fine" Felix can't help but have his smile break into a grin upon the brown-haired man's use of the nickname. It was cute, lighthearted, and endearing and Felix liked it
"It feels impolite to call you by your name"
Felix mumbles mellowingly and Jungkook's rosy lips curl into a charming smile, the mole beneath his bottom lip catching Felix's eyes before he rose his gaze and met Jungkook's. "Always too formal, it's okay to break rules sometimes" The man stepped backward, giving Felix back his personal space while the blue-haired poised himself and smiled back at Jungkook "When we're off work hours you can treat me like a friend" Jungkook suggests sweetly, his hands that were previously on Felix now rushing inside his black slacks' pockets as Felix chuckles lowly
