4) Beyond Madness

Mirabel POV

Another wonderful morning at the Monastery, looking over the training course for the newest member of the team. Lloyd has followed my advice and changed the training schedule for each of them, and we are supervising them both and help them when they need it. Mostly Lloyd looking over Arin while I look over Sora, who probably need a motherly support.

''Don't force it out.'' I instruct to her as she tries to activate her powers and use it at her motorcycle. ''Elemental Powers are within you somewhere, you just have to concentrate and feel for it.''

''Easy for you to say.'' Mumble Sora and tries one more time to use her powers. ''You probably have been able to use your powers when you could walk.''

''Pfft. Not really.'' I chuckle an answer and get up from the bench. ''My powers could appear on its own and bring life to plants around me, especially when I am singing. I needed to unlock my true potential to fully control it. And perhaps, that might also be your key to unlock your powers.''

''Then how do I do that?'' Ask Sora defeated and eye at Riyu, who is playing with a butterfly. 

''Once true potential can only be unlocked when you face your inner obstacle. Something that keeps you back, physical, mentally or emotionally.'' I explain to her and pat her back. ''Until then, I don't see a problem of Riyu helping you, but I do requesting you take notes of how you powers work, how they feel, so you may one day use it without Riyu's help.''

''If you say so, Mirabel.'' Mumble Sora and take a deep breath to calm down, before trying again. And fail. ''Come on. Weird powers. Why won't you work now?'' I pat her back yet again for comfort and look over at Lloyd and Arin. They are at the swinging boulders, where Arin is trying to work on his unique Spinjitzu. He does well on the course, using Spinjitzu to jump over the pillars, but when he reaches the spinning poles, lose Arin his balance. Lloys quickly use his Spinjitzu to safe Arin right as he gets flung over and began collision with the pillars and the spinning poles.

''Thanks, mast- Uh, Lloyd.'' Thanked Arin in relief, but in a little bit of pain. ''I really thought I could do it, but I forgot something. That I am the worst student in the history of students.''

''The worst?'' Repeat Lloyd with a lifted brow, while I just laugh in the back. ''Remind me to tell you about the time my friend, Jay, the Lightning Ninja, trained in the south wing.''

''The Monastery doesn't have a south wing.'' Says Arin confused.

''Not after Jay trained there.'' Inform Lloyd and make an explosion effect. ''Look, you learned a version of Spinjitzu by yourself. Totally unheard of. But you have to unlearn some of what you taught yourself to relearn a more balanced approach.''

''Really?'' Says Arin with hope.

''Indeed Arin.'' I speak up as the two gets over to us. ''It took me a long time until I can do Spinjitzu. Even the boys method didn't work, so I have to unlock the key my own way. And you have unlocked a little of it, and now need help to unlock the rest.''

''Understood. I got this.'' Says Arin, nodding his head to our lectures. Then Sora groan one more time and turn to look at us.

''Well, I don't need to relearn anything, cause I never learned anything in the first place.'' Argue Sora in defeat, frowning as her motorcycle is still in takt. ''This Elemental Power stuff is impossible.''

''It took me a long time to tap into my potential. And so with Mirabel.'' Lecture Lloyd calmly. ''But I did. And you will too.''

''I am not even sure I have an Elemental Power. Tech Power?'' Admit Sora, lower her shoulder with a frown.
