The air was cold, the only light was a purple glow coming from the moon, illuminating the trees in the woods. The blonde girl was wandering around aimlessly, her violet eyes glowing brightly in the dark forest and her dirty blonde hair a contrast to the dark.

"Hello?" She called out into the empty clearing. She spun around at the sound of footsteps. Behind her a woman stood, her raven-colored hair was flowing over her shoulders. Her skin seemed to be glowing a white translucent glow, her dark eyes fixed on the girl.

"M-Mom?" The girl said shakily, "Mom what's happening?"

The loud howl of a wolf boomed through the woods, echoing through the clearing. Her mother looked behind her, "He's coming. Amethyst you must know, you belong to this moon." Her voice was loud, it echoed through the clearing, making the girl's hands clamp against her ears.

"What do you mean?" She shouted over the echoing of her mother's words.

"You belong to this moon," she exclaimed, the trees began to shake and a large white wolf erupted from the rustling branches. It howled again, and the gleaming figure of her mother vanished as the wolf came charging at her. Its paws were bigger than her torso, the thundering sound of the monster's paws had her heart beating through her chest. The wolf's red eyes were locked on her, now only a few feet away.

"No!" She shouted, "Mom!" She looked around and all she saw were trees and the purple moon above her.

"AMETHYST!" The voice of her adoptive mother shouted. The girl shot up, sweating profusely.

"Oh thank you, sweet baby Jesus," she breathed as her vision adjusted to the brightly lit lavender room. It was just the same haunting dream of her deceased birth mother, the fourth one that week.
