The air was muggy, Amethyst's ponytail was swinging behind her as she ran with stake in hand."No way, I ain't doing it!" She yelled behind her.
"Amzy! You come back here right now!" Iris yelled chasing after her.
"Nope! You can stab it! I ain't doing it, I don't need my sight!"
Amethyst whipped around the corner leading herself into an alley. The streets were still wet from the rain storm just hours before, her pink running shoes were making splashes in the puddles.
"Come on! We've got him knocked out and tied up!" Iris groaned as she criss-crossed passed the puddles. "It's never been so simple!"
Amethyst halted, turning around to face a panting Iris. "Simple? You want me to shove a toothpick through what once was a man's heart!"
Iris bit her lower lip, a strand of auburn hair had gotten loose. "Well, when you put it like that."
"I'm just not ready," She said with a sigh.
"Fine," she growled. "You tell Luna."
Iris dragged her back by the arm, As they arrived in the empty warehouse Amethyst felt uneasy.
The building was completely empty, not a single scrap on the floor or an empty box. Luna was hovering over a dark skinned man, his ebony skin had a pale tint to it, his shoulder length hair was sprawled on the concrete floor. Luna had tied him up in ropes soaked in holy water.
"You stupid bitch," the man snarled. "You'll get it, my entire clan will be after you!"
"Luckily, we found your nest and have already destroyed all their coffins," Luna said with a dark tone. "Hope they can find a reasonable place to stay before morning."
The vampire was snarling, it's fangs were hanging past his dark lower lip and his eyes were a bright red.
"Amethyst, sweetheart please come
Get rid of this problem," she gestured for Amethyst to move closer. Iris made a face at Luna, who then made the same gesture repeatedly."I- I'm good, you can take this one," Amethyst said with a dismissive wave of her hand.
"Amethyst Hallewell, get your ass over here and kill this over sized insect!" Luna was now shouting, Amethyst rushed over quickly.
"So you've decided a rookie should kill me," the vampire groaned. "What a way to die at two hundred years old."
He didn't look older than forty, Amethyst hadn't really paid attention until she was hovering over him. "Well," she said quietly. "You shouldn't have killed people."
"Killed people?" He snorted. "I haven't bloody killed anyone in a hundred and fifty years!"
"Okay that's enough lies out of you," Luna snatched the stake from Amethyst and jammed into his chest in one swift motion.
Iris didn't say anything as the vampire'a body shook uncontrollably until finally bursting into ashes.
"Wait," Amethyst was standing over the pile of dust. "He wasn't a killer?"
"Amzy, don't be ridiculous. You know better than anyone these creatures lie through their fangs!" Luna said brushing her leather jacket off.
"Come on, we don't want to be here when his clan starts looking," Iris said throwing a white powder around the ashes of the vamp. She had a small bag of it in her Jean pocket.
"What's that?" Amethyst hadn't seen her do that before. Iris threw another handful and murmured something.
"It's so they can't be resurrected," Luna said quickly. "Iris came up with it."
